Remembering (1 or 2 sentences)
Sustainability is a concern, which has only been arising from the impact we humans have done in the past couple of decades. The word sustainability means how long you can continue doing what you are doing without coming to an end (Sustainability 2015).
Understanding (400 words)
The primary cause of climate change is the burning of fossil fuels (oil and coal) which emits greenhouse gases into the atmosphere (mainly carbon dioxide) (What is climate change 2014). In addition, other human activities such as deforestation and agriculture also contribute to the proliferation of greenhouse gases, which cause Climate change (What is Being Done to Stop Climate Change).

Also instead of buying food which is just going to be left at the back of the pantry or refrigerator we should wait and buy small amounts so we do not end up wasting so much food.
Analysing (1 paragraph)
People hold different worldviews about the environment because certain people want certain things for example business owners mainly want to make money and build their business so they can set their families up for a better life. But normal people do not really mind where they food comes. People want to be able to get the best value for money in most occasions but most cheap products come from overseas or have been made by machinery. These people will not care unless they experience something tragic and disastrous for example food poisoning then they will take measures into their hands.

However, issues the occur with rising temperature involve more severe floods, storms, droughts and fires which could then lead to higher death toll in human and animal life because for some animals it will be too hot to live. Due to this rise in Temperature Sea, level has increased dramatically and scientist estimate that the sea will continue to rise 15-95 cm by the end of the century. Sea levels are rising because two reasons. First with increasing average global temperatures, the water in Earth’s oceans expand in volume. This occurs because, when heated the molecules that make up a body of water move more rapidly and collide more often. The second reason is when glaciers and ice sheets melt the water that had previously been frozen the glaciers will melt and release the water cause more enter the oceans and
The issue is that the sea water levels are rising as a result of warming oceans caused by climate change. The burning of fossil fuels has put lots of “greenhouse gases” such as methane into our atmosphere, causing more heat to be retained on the earth from the sun and overall warming the earth. The oceans absorb about 80 percent of the excess heat. Thermal Expansion is in effect as the sea levels rise. Polar ice caps and glaciers are melting due to global warming which is adding to the rising sea level. (National Geographic, 2017)
The sea-level rise is due to climate change which is caused by rising ocean surface temperatures leads to more evaporation and increase in air moisture. Ocean warming also leads into coral bleaching which results into loss of structure and habitat.
Sea level has risen 3.4 mm per year due to climate change. This can have devastating effects on humans, plants and animals, and their habitats. Climate change has become a colossal problem considering it can leave countless humans stranded or starving, that are in need of assistance. It has also caused distrust or rifts between countries over who caused it and whose responsibility it is to pay for the damages it has caused. The economy of places on earth will be suspected to plummet as a result of rising sea levels and temperatures provoking animals to relocate and countries to lose their major exports, or suffer from the increase in prices for their imported goods. The U.N. believes that this is problem is in need of a solution. The world
Another factor of ascending sea levels is the increase in temperatures (3). Eissa and Zaki implies that “a considerable number of many species will be threatened with a continuous increase in sea levels to a certain point that the animal or species could become extinct” (The impact of global climatic…” 2). Sea levels are rising at very accelerated rates, and until the water keep rising, they will become very harmful to the human population and many marine organisms. However, increasing temperatures is one of the main factors of climate change. Johansen insists that “the warming of the world’s oceans has not only affected the animals who live above the surface, but also the ones who live below” (“Marine Life…” 1). Increasing temperatures are mostly caused by many human activities such as the release of fossil fuels emissions and greenhouse gases. The two main processes that cause increasing temperatures are Climate Change and the Greenhous effect. These can be very harmful to the marine population and permanently extinct them. According to recent studies, NOAA has discovered that seawater temperatures are increasing by about 0.1 Celsius, and many organisms confronted with this change could be in great danger (NOAA 2). In addition to increasing temperatures and sea levels rising, another factor would be ocean acidification. Global Issues portrays that” ocean acidification is caused by substantial amounts of carbon dioxide which is caused by greenhouse emissions” (Climate
The greenhouse effect, warming that occurs whenever the atmosphere traps heat from Earth towards space, is the main cause of global warming (NASA, 2016). Gases such as water vapor, nitrous oxide, carbon dioxide, and methane do not respond chemically to drastic changes in temperature, force climate change. One of the reasons for this is because of the deforestation of land for agriculture or industrial needs has increased concentration of green house gases.
Whether climate change occurred by human activities or naturally accruing phenomenon is a debatable issue. However, it may safely be said releasing carbon dioxide is one of the main reasons for climate change. Human activities such as the burning of fossil fuels from using transportation and maintaining agriculture are major contributions of greenhouse gases emissions, which lead to climate change. They can be solved by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
Decades of research suggest that sea-levels are rising, and will continue to rise as a result of climate change. This rise will have the most immediate and significant impact on
The main reason the climate is changing is because people are adding greenhouse gases to the atmosphere. The most important greenhouse gas is carbon dioxide, which is released whenever people burn fossil fuels to do everyday activities like driving cars, heating buildings, and making electricity. As greenhouse gases build up in the atmosphere, they cause the Earth to trap extra heat, making the planet warmer.
Climate change is a massive issue that is caused by many different things however, the main reason is greenhouse gasses. Greenhouse gasses are gasses, carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide being the main three (Greenhouse Gases), that allow direct sunlight to reach the surface and
combustion of fossil fuel which releases CO2 . Over the last hundred years, Global warming has
Global Warming has been a big issue that has effects on the environment, people, and the world, and if not stopped now, the results could be catastrophic. The main cause of climate change is likely to be the result of too much carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere. CO2 creates a blanket which traps heat. Burning fossil fuels for energy, such as coal, oil, and natural gas release CO2 which impacts the atmosphere heavily. Waste management and agricultural practices also produce gases that contribute to climate change, such as methane. There are many contributing factors to climate change.
We have learned that there is a strong relationship and correlation between changing temperatures and sea level rise. The sea levels have risen, when the temperature have increased. The reasons are the melting of the ice sheets and the thermal expansion. Also, the lab describes the importance of the seawalls to prevent and protect the coasts of the natural disasters caused by the climate change.
Another global issue that has been shown in over the past century is the increasing in the sea levels. This increasing results from the higher temperature under the ocean. Animals’ habits have been destroyed because of this issue. Large ice formations such as glaciers and polar ice caps are melting. As a result, when this large amount of melt drops in the ocean, it causes increasing in ocean level. So, the animals that live in the surface are losing their home, which means they are facing weather changes, attacks from the predatory animals, and difficulties in finding food, so they die. As well, the animals that live under the ocean that lost their home because of the increased water are facing the same issues. “Global sea levels may rise
What is one major cause of global climate change? One major cause of global climate change is the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, which causes the warming of the Earth. These greenhouse gases are a result of human activities. Animal agriculture directly and indirectly contributes to the human activities that cause hazardous amounts of methane and carbon dioxide emissions. The impacts of livestock on global climate change are often underestimated and ignored; hence, these greenhouse gases are being emitted into the atmosphere at an increasing rate with population increase. The impacts of livestock on global climate change needs to be addressed to undermine its negative effects globally.
One of the causes that has contributed to climate change and rising sea levels is global warming. Global warming, the gradual heating of Earth 's surface, oceans and atmosphere (Bradford) has caused warmer temperatures, leading to a growth in earths average temperature. Earth 's average temperature has risen by 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit, over the past century, according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) (Bradford). Many might say that 1.4 degrees is quite a small number, but the issue here isn’t with the number of degrees is going up but rather with the extra energy the earth is having to do it is causing those drastic changes in our weather.
