When I grow up I want to be a Sheriff. My opinion of this job would be fun but sometimes also dangerous. I would want to be a sheriff because I like to be adventurous and sheriff’s do a lot of adventurous stuff. I also like to go to bed early and wake up early. If you want to be a sheriff, you have to be able to to some of this stuff. I also don't like when people are mean to others. I like to treat others the way you want to be treated. There are some stuff that I would like to learn about sheriffs too. I would like to ask what do they do on there day off? What kinds of things do you like to do at work? What are somethings you don't like to do at work? So when I grow up it would be really satisfying to be a sheriff. I know it will be
The decision to become a deputy sheriff is not one I take lightly, I know this career path is challenging, stressful and dangerous and I have prepared physically and mentally to overcome all obstacles that are thrown my way. The Virginia Beach Sheriff's Department professionalism and commitment to excellence make it an easy choice to begin a law enforcement career. The position as a Virginia Beach Deputy Sheriff falls in line with my college degree in criminal justice and provides me an opportunity to protect and serve the community at the crossroads of where criminal and victim collide. As a deputy sheriff, I have an opportunity every day to dawn the uniform like some of my family members have done in the past and experience the same sense
As a Sheriff, I want everyone do the correct stuff because I don’t want them to get in trouble. I want everyone to do the right thing and not the wrong thing. When I see the person that is not doing right or not following the rules, I should say to that person, “You need to do the right thing and follow the rules.” But I speak in a nice way .

My career goals working at Osceola county sheriffs would be to help and protect the people of the communities I would patrol by giving them the best service possible. If you really enjoy helping people and being around people then it’s enjoyable, but if you’re not into that kind of thing then it’s probably not the right career for you.” You are dealing with the public and you have to be reasonable and good at speaking with people. You can’t have a temper and you have to be a good judge of character. You really have to have an eye for detail and constantly be on your toes. You have to be somebody that really helps people out. He went on to tell me how I should seriously consider this career knowing my accomplishments in the Army and currently being in school studying Criminal Justice. He told me, “The State is looking for guys like you when they go to hire a person. Someone that stands out above the rest, is honest, has integrity, and is more than willing to work hard and treat people fairly in the world.” I think highly of Randy and what he has done and accomplished. He has been more than a mentor for me and I know I can always count on him. After gaining insight on his career, it is still something I would very much like to do. It is interesting and now more tempting than ever to put school on hold and enlist in the Academy as I am having my doubts on whether or not school is for me. In conclusion, the life of a law enforcer is very different and less entertaining than how it is portrayed on television and in the movies. It is also very different from my career as Military Police but it is still very much a career choice of mine. Because of this new insight and my experience, I am able to compare these stereotypes with the actual roles of law
When my class had those career classes there was always somebody from law enforcement talking there. I do still remember what one Sheriff talked about Sheriff's job and I kind of liked it right away. I went home and did some research on Sheriff's Department and I liked what I saw. Now, years have passed and I still do have passion for this job, to serve the country. I have been living in the City since my birth, never been in country-side actually and now I feel this is the oppurtunity to widen my knowledge about Red County. I am ready to learn to remember every corner by its name. I have always loved bodybuilding and training my body overall and I know if hired by San Andreas Sheriff's Department I can continue doing something I love, training.
