Curiosity, the desire to learn and understand, to uncover the mysteries of thee universe, is an incredible stimulus for discovery. In the year 1908, what is today the sprawling suburb of Robinson Township was nothing more than a farming community. Moon Run, a community in the township, was a prosperous mining community that was built by the Pittsburgh Coal Company. Today, nothing except the Interstate 79 exit sign, Moon Run Road, and Moon Run Presbyterian Church acknowledges the name of this small community by the highway interchange. The workers in these mines were Catholic and Presbyterian, and both denominations needed a house of worship. The Roman Catholic workers were about to establish a parish that has become an icon of Robinson Township for almost one hundred and ten years.

They all left the house for their safety. At the park it was full of people. The soldiers were providing some food for them. They fire was still up and people were scared. But then ram all of a sudden felt sick and Gramps took her to the closest hospital. Next, they went to the hospital and Gramps refused to leave Gram their alone. But, did you forget? The legend begins with the tale of a Druidess and also her sister bound by blood - a sister who practiced the dark arts of Shamanism. Their whereabouts remain unknown, much like their history, until a recent Grimoire was discovered deep within the Wilderness, resting beneath an archaic, sunken tree. Upon studying this tome, Royal scholars disco- vered the forgotten legend of a mystical weapon documented by the sisters on their journey, known as the Faerie light. The writings predate the reign of Yuri, leaving many to speculate that these sisters were possible descendants of immortal blood. Scholars across the Kingdoms have agreed to address these two sisters as Solas and Dorcha; Solas being the Druidess, and Dorcha being the Shamaness.
In the poem ‘Moon’, Kathleen Jamie explores themes of abandonment, loneliness and disconnection. She does this by utilizing a clearly dysfunctional relationship between a mother and child. The child replaces the either mentally or physically absent mother with the presence of the moon. To explore the emotional distance between child and mother, the author uses dark and light imagery to empathize the child’s loneliness and to evoke the scene of a parent visiting they child late at night. Personification of inanimate objects illustrates the detrimental effects the unavailable mother has on the child’s mental wellbeing. The poem ends with dialogue from the protagonist, the child, pointing out that the moon is not her mother, as if to be

Do you ever glance at your drawing and wonder how you can make it better? Maybe you want to make it less obvious that you did not put any effort to it or you did it last minute. Shading is a great technique to add in any extra detail and sometimes catch people’s attention. It does not necessary have to be a drawing, you can add it to the letters in your poster project and give it a “wow”. In order to shade, you will need the supplies of color pencils, white sketching paper, and if you are an OCD person about straight lines, a ruler will be necessary. Shading in different types of art requires creativity, technique and passion.
