Although it remains a large portion of the U.S’ economy, tobacco smoking can lead to a variety of diseases and disorders that affect the user. According to the American Cancer Society, that least thirty (30) of these chemicals found in smokeless tobacco are cancer causing agents. (Berger, 2015) Of these cancer causing chemical, the most harmful are “Tobacco-Specific Nitrosamines (TSNAs)” Some of the cancers that smokeless tobacco can attribute too include, but are not limited to; mouth, tongue, cheek, gum, esophageal, and pancreatic. I would go around and present the program (slide with pictures) in classrooms for twelve year olds and teach them the dangers of any type of tobacco use. I would explain that whether the child smokes, snuffs, or chews tobacco are all dangerous and all requires the use of nicotine. I would begin with a picture of a child chewing tobacco and explain to them that chewing tobacco can come in three forms: Loose leaf, Plugs and twist or rolls.
