Tobacco 1. Name of Drug? My drug is tobacco. Tobacco has over 600 different chemicals put into it. There are a lot of different name brands of tobacco. What category of drug is it? It is in it own category which is nicotine. What schedule does it belong in? The schedule it belongs to is schedule F. 2. Slang term for drug? Slang terms for tobacco are Cigarette, crop, smoking, cigar, leaf, plant, shag, snuff cancer stick, cig, coffin nail, and butt. Those are some of the many names you can call tobacco. There are other names that they call them but I would be able to find them all. 3. Brief history of the drug? Tobacco was grown by the American Indians. American tobacco companies were the biggest and powerful tobacco company until 1900. They would sale most of the cigarettes to males. When World War 1 came they gave every soldier a cigarette. The production increase and they started sailing them to females. Then federal state and local government started making it so you couldn’t smoke in public places. They started putting warning labels on all the cigarettes. The company’s couldn’t advertise for tobacco anymore. Many places didn’t let people some in restaurants or buildings. 4. Methods used? Methods of use for tobacco are smoking it in a cigarettes cigar snorting it chewing it or hand rolling it. Most people either chewed or smoked it. Chewing gave people mouth cancers. Smoking gave a whole bunch of cancers. 5. What body system are affected and how? The body systems that are effected are Mood suppressant , poor vision, anxiety and irritability, another cold, another flu, lung cancer, constricted blood vessels, high cholesterol, heart disease, stained teeth smelly hair, diabetes complications, erectile dysfunction ,early menopause, problems with pregnancy, Appetites suppressant, coughing, COPD, bronchitis, too much clotting, blood cancer, yellow fingers, wrinkly skin, bad teeth infertility, cancer connection, cervical cancer, problems for newborns
