This article is mostly about how the Yeti was a bear. “Because Eight samples of remains such as fur, bones and teeth purportedly from mountain-dwelling yetis” their is also data that shows. “Previous analyses of smaller fragments of “yeti” DNA yielded controversial results. The new study looks at bigger chunks of DNA, analyzing the complete mitochondrial genomes from alleged yetis and comparing them with the mitochondrial genomes of various bears, including polar bears and Tibetan brown bears.” This proves yetis use to be bears of some sort because they have the same exact dna as them.
Most adults enjoy having a nice, warm cup of coffee to get them awake. They either drink it in the morning before work, have it on a road trip to not fall asleep behind the wheel, or just love drinking coffee whenever. Surely these people would want to have a superior cup to keep their coffee warm for the longest time possible. Here are a two cups that were compared during this project. First, the Yeti Rambler is a double-wall vacuum insulated cup that can “keep your drink as cold (or hot) as science allows” says Yeti. This makes the Yeti Rambler a significantly modern cup for coffee. Many people have opinions that state that the Yeti Rambler is the best cup of all time! For instance, “Roasty Coffee” ( a popular website all about coffee)
Hello, you are probably wondering why do I want to learn about the Kermode bear.
In 1997, while bow hunting in the Ocala National Forest. I saw two large male bears eating grubs and one of them caught and begun to eat a Cotton Tail rabbit. They were approximately ½ mile from each other. It seemed like the very second that the bear with the rabbit tore it apart, I saw the other bear lift his nose to the air and was at a full run and was to the other bear within a minute. The first bear was bigger, but the second bear seemed to be hungrier and quickly took the remains of the rabbit away and out of sight. Thinking that it was a waste of time to remain in the area I returned to my jeep to head back to camp and get some lunch for myself. Upon reaching the logging road that lead to my jeep, I found large bear prints within my
The white phased black bear was said to have traversed barriers of the sea during the last ice age when glaciers covered most of northwest British Columbia. When temperatures started to rise, and glaciers started to retreat it is believed that the white bear was then isolated on the islands off the coast of BC. The white coats would suggest an adaptation to the white snow for hunting, however if that was the case, the evolutionary trail should have left the recessive gene behind when it was no longer useful to them in the temperate forests. Most research that is done on the Spirit bear is to try and understand the polymorphism of this species and how it has come to last among a low frequency in a minute area. Evidence now suggest that the reason for the white fur is actually a very important adaptation for the bear and is still very useful even in the array of
Fair Bear has gone on another adventure, this time in Georgia. He has decided to visit the Ocmulgee National Park and Preserve Initiative. This includes the Indian Mounds, the Bond Swamp Wildlife Refuge, the Ocmulgee River, and historic Muscogee land.

When Cole Mathews was sent to the remote Alaskan island he viewed it as a game, but it isn’t. Upon arrival Cole started off by burning down his shelter by using the white gas for his lantern and a match, which doesn’t serve him well in the long run. He has also encountered the Spirit Bear many times in the first few days and he even created weapons to try to kill it. After trying to throw a homemade spear at the Spirit Bear from point blank a lopsided match occurs between Cole and the suddenly ferocious bear. The Spirit Bear beats Cole to the edge of death and leaves Cole desperate to survive on the ground. Cole fights to survive by scrounging up anything he can find to eat, he starts by eating worms from the wet soil and slowly progresses.
The yeti, from the Himalayas in Asia, is in fact very similar to the bigfoot. The ape like creature is larger than the average human and covered in white hair. He lives in the snowcovered Himalayan mountains and has gotten almost as much attention and subject to as many hoaxes as bigfoot. Like Bigfoot, the yeti has been around for a very long time. The first reports of yetis came from the beliefs of pre-buddhist peoples living in
In 2000 there was a black bear mom with 2 white bear cubs in Beause Manitoba. Also in 1997 a subadult white bear named Halo caused such a media stir that that the lesulater for Minnesota gave protection to all white bears. Unlucky for the lesulater because Halo is the only one since.
The Spirit Bear, or actually called the Kermode bear, lives in the Great Bear Rainforest in the Northwest area of the Canadian province British Columbia. Half way up the coast is where they live. “Scientifically, the white ones, along with their closest black relatives, belong to a subspecies of black bear.”(Smithsonian) The big white bear is probably around 300 lbs. It is cold where they live, and their fur definitely helps them keep warm. They hunt for things like salmon, and just eats it up. Right now, the some estimates say there are only around 100 of the specie left. They are very rare and definitely one of the rarest type of
Grey wolf Habitats: They are normally found in North America.Today, their range has shifted to Canada, Alaska, the Great Lakes, northern Rockies, Pacific Northwest and Yellowstone park.
The yeti is known as all sorts of names, Bigfoot, Yeren, Skunk Man, Sasquatch, Yowie, etc. Many still believe that the hominid gigantopithecus is extinct but others also believe that the animal migrated to North America. The gigantopithecus is known as the bigfoot and scientist have tried concluding that this creature living in our backyards is real. Long before humans existed these so called primates roamed the earth. In a trusted article National Geographic's states that, “The Gigantopithecus is an extinct genus of apes that existed nine million years ago in what is now China, India, and Vietnam.”
The Arctic wolf is a sub-species of the grey wolf and lives in the Arctic regions of North America and Greenland. Arctic Wolves also live in, Montebello, Quebec, Canada. The arctic wolf if a mammal.
Gray wolves. To some, these creatures are monsters, harbingers of death and destruction. To others, they are simply misunderstood creatures, protective of their family and their pack. However, what either side does not know is that these creatures play a greater role in their ecosystem than one human alone could understand. Grey wolves are one of thousands of different keystone species- species of organisms that have a large effect on the health and stability of a particular ecosystem. But they are also on the brink of extinction. The over hunting of these creatures in the 1900’s has lead to a severe decline in their population throughout the U.S., creating a ripple effect in the ecosystems in which they reside in. Luckily, reintroduction
