In honoring of the veterans who served for our country to have us the way the united states is today. You should always be thankful for them serving for our country because they are the reason that we have the freedom we do have and the rights. You should always honor them because they were risking their live and sacrificed their lives to save our country and they also chose to leave their families and some have may not returned back home so therefore you should always be respectful to them and show them that you care. If it wasn't from them it could be totally different than how it is now because they chose to fight or risk their lives for ours and that's why we have many rights and we also have the right to vote now because back then it
Honoring those that have served our country has been a long-standing tradition in one of the countries with the best militaries in the world. We even have an annual holiday celebrating those who have served where an entire day is dedicated to veterans in our country. But the question is often asked as to why we honor these veterans with their own day, and why they are treated with the utmost respect year round. I believe the answer varies from person to person, but the answer is clear to me.
Those who are veterans are those who fought in the wars and those who leaded the troops. Today we honor those who are no longer with us and those who are. We honor them because they fought and saved us from rivalries that were careless about us but our veterans stood up for us until we were safe. If you read history books about the american war you might’ve found that some men were under a lot of stress while training. But the thing that makes them special is they were the brave ones, some men didn’t meet the standards required but some men started training lifting those weights to meet those standards and try again. There are wise and caring people in the world and some times you may have to look for them because they are out
Saying “The Pledge of Allegiance” and singing “The Star Spangled Banner” makes me feel so proud to live here. Listening to veterans tell stories about wars is so interesting. You wonder how they survived and how some are still willing to go out and fight. When you see a veteran, you realize that this is your home. These veterans have given me a life most people would love to have. These veterans stood up for what they believed in. I will never meet all of them, but I will never be able to express how thankful I am. These veterans are people we pass every day, they don’t expect a thank you. We lose about 1,000 World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam veterans everyday. They should be thanked a lot
Dictionary.com’s definition of the Department of Veterans Affairs is, “The second-largest cabinet department, the VA coordinates the distribution of benefits for veterans of the American armed forces and their dependents. The benefits include compensation for disabilities, the management of veterans' hospitals, and various insurance programs.” My sister, Keara Torkelson, is a retired US Army Veteran. Every time she takes a trip to the VA’s office, she only comes out less and less satisfied. However, the VA’s office isn’t the only place Veterans are neglected.
The issue being addressed in this study is veteran’s rights, most notably homelessness and suicide rates. The subject of veteran’s rights overall is still being pursued. Along with the mindset of the American public, to the cases presented before Congress, this is an ongoing dilemma. Caring for our brothers and sisters in arms is the socially responsible thing to do. Ensuring the public is aware, and promoting campaigns to raise awareness, this is what the paper will touch on.
We often take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude and the veterans deserve to have gratitude from others. The reason why I am grateful for our nation’s veterans is because without them we would not have peace and freedom in our country. Another reason why I am grateful for our nation’s veterans is because they have fought for us to have a good society instead of a corrupted one. After the veterans return from war they don’t change on how the treat people and not expect anything in return and that is why I am grateful. The nation’s veterans deserve to be celebrated and commemorated for their efforts and sacrifices.
An ex-military veteran, Sgt. Bradie Frink, lost his job for 26 months due to the fact that the VA thought he was trying to blow the whistle on them. Bradie, who served our country, was only trying to change his beneficiary policy so that both of his children would benefit from it. The VA has been under scrutiny for not providing benefits guaranteed to many of our ex-military personnel. These whistleblowers were then quickly unemployed due to the attention they brought on the VA.
When I was asked what Veterans Day meant to me I didn’t have a specific answer. I could give the cookie cutter answer of to honor the men and women who fought for this country’s freedoms, but I wanted to go deeper. What makes these specific people so special and worth honoring? The reason may be because of the sacrifices they made or the bravery they showed; or it be for the tough times they have gone through and still have to go through. Maybe we owe them for not being just our moms, dads, aunts, uncles, grandmas, and grandpas; but for going above and beyond what anyone could ever ask of them.
Veterans Day mean a lot to me because if it wasn’t for those who fought for us, then we wouldn’t have our freedom. I honor the brave soldiers who fought for our rights, and those
Well to begin, Veterans Day is a day to celebrate all the strong and brave U.S. veterans and victims of the World War 1, who have risked their lives for our freedom and safety today. Now on November 11, we as americans publicly celebrate this holiday on the anniversary of the end of the war. It is a time to ponder and really think about how far we have came in American History, and how much we have accomplished in a world filled with so much hate and crime. Instead of war, we fight for world peace and kindness to be spread. Though we are constantly at war with other countries, without our courageous soldiers and our fearless veterans, this country would be a different place to live in. A more cruel, unsafe, and terrifying place.
Throughout human history, we have watched many men and women storm into combat to sweat, bleed, and die for a cause that they believe in. War is no secret to mankind, we have seen it hundreds of times, and we are aware of the mental and physical damage it has the capability of causing. We’ve learned of the gruesome damage caused by the first world war, and the numerous amount of lives it claimed. We’ve read the vivid stories authors wrote, using literature as a means to communicate the horrors experienced in war. Even in present day, we’ve seen, or known veterans who have returned from war with mental damage due to the terrible things they witnessed or partook in. Whether or not it is the smartest or most responsible idea, the human race uses
There are a lot of misconceptions and misinformation about "The VA". It is helpful to understand that the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is made of up three distinct administrations:
Veterans are people that have battled in a war for their nation. Some tragically, aren't even alive any longer. In the the wars, veterans have stuck together as a group against the people who battled our nation. We are a united countery, and veterans have made it conceivable by securing us. Veterans Day is a day to respect every one of those people who have died for our nation. Veterans have given their time, mettle, boldness, lives, and quality for us and this nation. If not for the veterans, we likely wouldn't be here todayt. That is the way huge of an effect veterans have on this awesome nation. Therefore,The day is insufficient to demonstrate the gratefulness which is because of the incalculable number of brave men and ladies. As a human

When I began this research project, my goal was to merely understand the higher education experience of student veterans. Initially, I hoped to determine if student veterans intentionally isolated themselves or felt shunned by their classmates. However, while conducting interviews, it became apparent that there was a bigger issue occurring, one where student veterans were describing vigilant feelings while in the classroom. As a result, my research questions become more refined with each person I interviewed. I was able to see which interview questions were eliciting insightful responses and analyze the question to see if they needed to be rephrased or merely deleted. I planned on being open to making modifications and enhancements to my research
