One large project that is being pursued is colonizing mars with a human population. This will mold the future and newer generations. It can make us question the future and what lies ahead. It has been said that it will take no more than 50 years to fulfill the colonization of mars.

Mars has been an interesting planet to mankind for years now, and scientists have decided to take things into their own hands. They are making plans to put people on Mars to have them live there. Consequently, they would need to face many problems during the period of time preparing for the journey to mars. One of the many problems they would have to face, for example, is: How will they get food, water, or air? Well, you’re about to find out. In Jennifer L Holm’s fictional story, “Follow the Water”, she uses facts about Mars to help you imagine some of the problems characters would have to face, and how they would be able to fix them in reality.

While the criticisms do bring valid points as to the difficulties of space travel and colonization, they can be overcome with mankind’s technology, the resources already present on Mars, and old-fashioned human ingenuity. Thanks to NASA, colonists will be able to sustain themselves for a considerable amount of time using oxygenators and water reclaimers, ensuring they have breathable air and clean water. Pockets of geothermal energy beneath the surface will provide the key to powering a large colony long enough for nuclear plants to be established. Finally, plants can not only be grown in Martian soil once the proper nutrients have been added, but those plants will thrive in an atmosphere with a high CO2 content, which can be controlled with pressurized greenhouses.
