Richard Poplawski, 22 year old war veteran, is being charges with three counts of homicide, aggravated arrest, and BUFA along with other charges associated with the incident.
Three police officers dead and nine injured during a shooting at an home in Stanton Heights at 7:05 AM this morning.
A resident called police to her home due to a domestic incident with her son. Upon police arrival, the son opened fire on the policemen.
Numerous police officers responded to the scene and S.W.A.T arrived soon after to rescue the officers.
The shooting occured in the doorway of the Fairfield Street home. After all three officers were injured, Poplawski began shooting out of his window with an AK-47 assault rifle. When the SWAT arrived around 8:30,
Facts: Frank Palko a resident of the state on Connecticut where he robbed a store, and shot and killed two police officers. Fleeing to Buffalo New York, he was arrested and confessed to the crime. At his trial because of lack of evidence the judge refused to admit the confession, and the jury found him guilty of second degree murder. With the second-degree murder charge, Palko was given an automatic mandatory life sentence.
Patrol officers arrived at 518 N. K Street and surrounded the house. Patrol officers called the victim and the suspect out of the house. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
The shooting occurred at the Fruitvale train station on January 1st, 2009. At the station, a fight broke out in one of the trains and when the train stopped the fight started again outside of the train at one of the stops. While they were fighting on the train the BART officers were called. The officers came and arrested everyone that was in the fight. A guy named Oscar Grant was in the fight and was also arrested (Meyer). While Grant was being arrested by Officer Mehserle, he resisted the officer’s attempts. Since Grant was resisting he was pushed onto the ground on his stomach to be handcuffed. Johannes Mehserle was having trouble handcuffing Grant so the other BART officers helped him. When Grant was on the ground Mehserle was going to tase him since he would not stop resisting. When Mehserle thought he pulled out his TASER, he instead pulled out his gun. Mehserle accidentally shot Grant with his gun since he thought he pulled out his TASER (Bulwa).

A 911 dispatcher contacted Officer Mattox about a so called domestic dispute. Mattox arrived and heard another officer claiming that shots have been fired. However, it was the Fourth of July. On Thursday, 05/18/2017, at about 9:27 p.m., partner Officer Griffin (#3135) and I were on uniformed patrol in a marked patrol vehicle (Unit #21) as 3A21. We were dispatched to an injury traffic collision at Lake Ave. and Maple St. Upon our arrival, we saw three vehicles that appeared to be involved in a traffic collision. While we were assisting with the scene, we saw Victim Captain Konrad struggling with the suspect, later identified as Kevin Hendrix. Officers Griffin, Riehl (#7454), Spatz (#8058) and I grabbed Suspect Hendrix and took him to the ground. I placed properly adjusted, double locked handcuffs on Hendrix. Officer Griffin and I placed Hendrix in our patrol vehicle.

On 10-21-2015 at approximately 0830 hours I Officer Hildebrand and Sgt. Joseph Harris were asked to help locate an individual Richard Ring in regards to the a sexual assault that taken place on Sunday 10-18-2015. Det. Randy Schott identified Richard as a prime suspect from video surveillance of incident in question.
