In Rear Window, Hitchcock uses visuals in order to capture the perfect cinematic film and experience. We as the viewers identify with Jeff because much like how he is watching his neighbors, we are also speculating his life as a film. Our hero, L.B. Jeffries or “Jeff”, out of boredom creates an outdoor theater for himself by spying on his the people outside his window. Hitchcock uses “murder-as-entertainment” and the idea of watching a cinematic film as ways to captivate the viewers and make us subconsciously take part in intruding on someone else’s life. Hitchcock then punishes Jeff and the viewers for being “peeping toms” and casting our unwanted voyeurism on other people’s private lives. Through fear and embarrassment, Hitchcock puts our actions into perspective as we become self-conscious of our indecent objectification toward human lives.

After, seeing many versions of media that display argumentative fighting and passionate love, the main couples that stand out the most to me are the notorious problematic couple Ross and Rachel from the TV show Friends. In the series they explain the secret love from Ross that he has for Rachel that began in High school. Ultimately, later in adulthood they become a couple and were known for long explosive fights due to infidelity, lack of relationship space and miscommunication. As a couple they were on again off again many times, although still having a deep love for one another. Finally at the end of the series the couple has an unplanned child and stay together as a couple, while being closer together
In the twentieth and twenty-first centuries the movie industry discovered Bastrop County. With close proximity to Austin, Texas, and nostalgic hometown appeal, Smithville, Bastrop and Elgin locations have appeared in more than ten movies. The most famous movie filmed with Bastrop locations remains Hope Floats, filmed in 1998. Directed by Forest Whitaker and starring Sandra Bullock and Harry Connick, Jr., it tells the story of a young woman who returns to her small hometown after discovering that her husband and best friend are sleeping together. Smithville and Bastrop locations appeared in 2011's Tree of Life starring Brad Pitt and Sean Penn. 2011's major hit, Bernie, though primarily filmed in Carthage, Texas, did film some scenes in Smithville
Do you remember the old days of VHS horror films? Rooting through boxes and finding the perfect flick to watch. Popping in the VHS and hoping that the VCR doesn't decide to up and eat the tape. Rotating the tracking dial to get a somewhat decent video. Man, those days were a blast. It's because of this nostalgia that Lake Nowhere succeeds brilliantly in capturing the glory days of hazy video and tracking issues. It also succeeds in providing a horror film that is full blood, guts, beautiful babes and boobs. Lake Nowhere is required viewing for anyone longing for the past. Read on to see if you agree...
asked. It came as kind of a shock to him to see women treated so badly by men. It was ironic that the movie was portraying a man being the start of a women’s movement where he fought for respect and appreciation for women in the United States during a time when it was rare. It also showed the beginning of men building alliances with women in order to support their cause and to help them advocate for fair treatment. This movie really highlighted the struggles that women had to face when they were still in a major battle for rights and respect from men. I believe that this was a

The movie I have chosen to do my psychological film disorder assignment on is Girl Interrupted which is a psychological drama directed by James Mangold. The movie takes place in a mental institution for troubled women. All of the characters in this movie suffer from one or more mental illnesses such as depression, borderline personality disorder and schizophrenia.
