A firearm is a very complex tool that has grown in s verbal ways over several years, each version better than the last, all of which changing the world in a new way.All across the world and across several eras firearms have been used, firearms have also been the reason for wars and laws, as a very important part of our history it is appropriate that several facts are clearly stated.Back in the Han dynasty, under the leadership of emperor Wu Di, gunpowder was discovered. This particular amendment means that the american people have the right or ability to own,carry,and use firearms. In The early years of the american colonies several laws were passed to keep citizens safe, Nathaniel Cross and Michael A. Sommers, authors of the book Understanding Your Right to Bear Arms, state that “ In the year 1623 all citizens weren’t permitted to leave city limits unless equipped with a single firearm per person.” These types of laws were not uncommon and were made to keep settlers safe incase of animal attack or attack by the native people. Another similar law made in 1644 actually made it legal to fine someone if they did not possess a firearm. Once settlers gained a more steady foothold in The colonies, the government would buy a rifle for each family who was to poor to buy one for themselves. Nathaniel Cross, David A.
