Desi Arnaz was an extremely famous actor and musician who was born in Cuba, but is technically an American in terms of Nationality. Desi was born on March 2, 1917 in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba. His last stand was on December 2, 1986 when he died of cancer at the age of sixty-nine. He had been experiencing health issues and problems for years before his death as soon after he was put in the hospital for the first time during his later years in 1981. During his earlier health complications, many hoped and prayed that all would pass and he would be fortunate enough to be healthy once again, but sadly, that was not the case. When Desi was very young, his life was not as great as it was going to become even though he was born into a very wealthy family.

Khan believes that humanity is just like an aging movie star, the one who must keep shinning despite the different advancements and moral conflicts around them. Khan talks about advancements in such a way of comparing life before and the life today. He claims, “… life was very, very simple then…”. Khan explained, before you just had to eat what you have, work in a place that provided food in the table, married the first girl you dated, and how science was then “simple and logical”. However, it all changed when internet and many different progressions came about.

Amira Arzu, an Afghan teenager, was only 15 years old when she was forced into an arranged marriage. She was kind hearted, intelligent, elated, and humorous until one day this was all taken away. Many deduced that she was without her husband on the streets of Kabul, which is not normally the case, but Amira was different from the other wives and arduously wanting to figure out an escape.

Mondays aren’t usually the best days of the week and that was proven true in the case of Ahmed Mohammed after he brought a clock he invented to showcase to his teachers and was arrested for it being believed to be a bomb this Monday, September 13th at his high school in Irving, Texas. It earned Ahmed a planned trip to the White House, a message of support from Hillary Clinton and thousands of people all around the world, an offer to stop by Facebook to meet Mark Zuckerberg, and invitations to world renowned schools, such as, MIT.

As I was learning about this formidable leader in my AP World History class, I began to think about our leaders today.
