Daily Life in Rome
Fairness in Rome Gladiators fighting. King Watching safely above. Slaves would be servants, in labor, and gladiators. Masters control the slaves, and tell them what to do. Kings would force slaves to go into the arena and fight. If the crowd doesn’t have a good applause, the gladiators will be killed. Not everybody in Rome was treated fairly because of slaves, plebeians, and women. Not everybody was treated fairly in Rome. According to, “History For Kids,” “Slaves in Rome were used for domestic help, manual labor, and gladiator fighting.” Having slaves do all your work is not having everybody being treated fairly. According to History for kids, “Slaves were not allowed to vote, hold a political office or claim any legal rights.” Even though all slaves at the time were unable to vote anywhere, it still did not give slaves many rights which is being treated unfairly. Also research from History for Kids, “ A slave could either be freed by his or her master in return of services rendered or he or she could buy their freedom from their own earnings.” Some slaves could be freed, but most slaves were poor, and their masters usually would not treat them …show more content…

The earliest citizens built a little civilization on a hill, and it grew out from there. Remus and Romulus were supposedly the founders. Their story was a legend, so it was just believed on who established it. The first establishment was on Palatine Hill. It was most likely established in 753 BC or 1000 BC. Remus and Romulus wanted to build a civilization and be the leader of the city they would create.
Also, the two brothers disagreed on where the civilization would be built. They started to build the civilization in two different spots, but remus died. The city was then built where Remulus wanted it. “I found Rome a city of bricks and left it a city of marbles.” Augustus according to pinterest
Therefore, Rome was established by Remus and Remulus, and built a civilization for citizens to live. It developed from arguments and agreements and later became an empire of most of Europe.

The Roman Empire was the largest empire and collapsed. It collapsed because Germanic groups attacked Rome, the military weakened, the size of the country, production of food, and taxes became to high for citizens. Germanic barbaric groups called Visigoth, Huns, and Slavs caused The Roman Empire. The Germanic groups invaded the western side of Rome. The Roman empire had finally collapsed 476
