Liesel and Rudy spent their lives having fun together and making good memories. They spent years making lasting, beautiful moments as their friendship grew. Rudy was never able to stay with Liesel all the way but it didn’t change the fact that they had the best childhood with one another.
I think Liesel did not kiss Rudy that night because she felt like the mannequins were watching her and she felt sort of nervous at the time.
Dexter starts as a lower class and Judy starts as an upper class when they first interact. Expectations are assumed, such as the upper class sees the lower class as servants and the lower class sees upper class as ridiculous. When they meet in the middle, they conflict in their lower and upper classes. After Dexter leaves for college, Judy stays in the upper class and he slowly joins the upper class. When he comes back home, he and Judy interact and become friends. However, when Dexter realizes that Judy misuses him and treats him badly, he leaves her even though he loves her. Because he’s part of the upper class and is able to, Dexter goes to parties and clubs where he forgets about her and mingles with other high class members, eventually finding a fiancee named Irene Scheerer. Soon, Judy comes back looking for the Dexter, “I wish you’d marry me.” This is an example of collision between classes. Judy now recognizes how rich Dexter really is and wants him. After the war, Dexter is talking to a man named Delvin who mentions the wife of one of his friends, “‘Judy Simms,’ said Delvin with no particular interest; ‘Judy Jones she was once.’” Delvin mentions how he is sorry for her, which surprises Dexter. He is told Judy married into the lower class to a man who “drinks and runs around.” In Winter Dreams, the lower and upper class characters interact, meet, conflict, and soon split. Judy Jones and Dexter Green have
Together, they watched the humans disappear.” (80.94-96) This quote is the aftermath of the incident from Deaths point of view. This quote proves that Rudy was innocent because he risked his life to save hers. In that time, during the Holocaust you didn’t interfere negatively with anybody in power, because commonly it would end up badly, which was proven when Liesel's father Hans got drafted after sticking up for a Jew. Rudy didn’t understand the possible consequences that could happen from doing such things. This quote also proves that his devotion to Liesel blinds him from understanding what is really going on. Helping him maintain his innocence even longer.
The author clearly portrayed that Dexter had lost his ultimate dream. It was gone! There was nothing left except for his amazing memories; reminiscences of a woman that he never truly had to begin with. He came to that realization in this instance, and frantically desired what he had lost, and what he never actually attained…
Later on Donnelly starts to talk about popular culture and its influences on the show. She says, “Popular culture thrives on explanation as a way of abating fears of violence and fears of Otherness” (Donnelly 21) which season seven and eight are all about. Dexter searches constantly for a real reason to explain why he is the way he is. He wants a better understanding of himself to make himself fit in. Morals have been developed to single out the abnormal and throughout his whole life Dexter was singled out. The consumers of the show can identify a killer as a monster, making the person less than human in our minds. Therefore if Dexter thought the same as us; killing a killer is the same as squishing a bug because both are lesser than humans and their lives do not make an impact on ours. Dexter realizes in season eight that he is an even worse monster that he believed himself to be.
The blindfold disappears around Rudy. Rudy begins to open but as he does, only darkness remains.
While ambulance chasing, Rudy meets a girl (Kelly Riker) who is in the hospital, due to her abusive husband (Cliff). The second time he beats her, Rudy and Kelly break into Cliff’s house to retrieve her things and have her leave for good. “I’ve never done anything like this before, and I’m quite nervous. In fact, we’re both scared” (Grisham 567). Before Rudy and Kelly breaks into the apartment, Rudy expresses his uneasiness towards their plan, but carries it out anyways. Cliff Riker comes home earlier than expected, and finds them. “… he coils the aluminum softball bat and whirls it at around mightily at my head” (Grisham 569). Cliff nearly kills Rudy with a bat, but Rudy dodged it and managed to push Cliff into a dresser. Later in the story, after Cliff dies, Rudy and Kelly leave Memphis forever. “We smile and giggle as the land flattens and the traffic lightens. Memphis is twenty miles behind us” (Grisham 598). In this quote, it shows that it was worth it for Rudy to pursue Kelly. Rudy takes a risk by trying to protect his love interest from a dangerous man, but in the end, it ended well with him and Kelly leaving their troubles behind in

Rudy’s relationship with Liesel was very important in the book. Without constant conversions with Rudy, Liesel may not have kept pushing on with the constant pressure put on her. “Rudy proved to be a great friend to Liesel in the most important times. At school, Rudy made a special point of seeking Liesel out during the breaks. He didn't care that others made noises about the new girl's stupidity.”.
After he marries his wife Rita and has a baby, he begins to show signs of empathy which would be impossible for the Dexter at the beginning of the

Eventually after a few sessions and some snooping around, Dexter learns that Emmet counseled those three women and many others into committing suicide. This discovery led Dexter to murder the psychiatrist. Psychiatrists are often referred to as "shrinks". The title Shrink Wrap was a sign and form of foreshadowing of Dexter's next murder victim. Like all his victims Dexter wrapped Emmet down to a table, which this time was in Emmet's own office, and covered the room with shrinkwrap which is used to prevent dust or in this case blood from spattering onto the floor or couches. Then he took a blood sample to save for his file and proceeded to murder Emmet in the very place he counseled others into returning home and killing themselves.
