With rookie shortstop Dansby Swanson's walk-off bases loaded single on Monday night, the Atlanta Braves won the game 5-4 over the San Diego Padres. It was Atlanta's fifth win in a row and it pulls the Braves to .500 (6-6) on the young season.

With the heat and pressure of the season fully upon us, it’s a nice change of pace lend a hand in our local communities. So, when the Prospect Valley Rebels little league baseball team needed help rebuilding their baseball field, they came to LGE. The field was in disrepair – full of weeds and rocks – making it an uninviting place to be, let alone a place to play baseball. LGE stepped up to the plate (pun intended) with donations of material, trucking, and equipment time. Along with helping hands from volunteers from the baseball team and the local community, the field was soon ready for the kids to play ball. Now this field is an enjoyable place to watch a baseball game on a hot summer afternoon.

Founded in 2003, the Miracle League of San Antonio is yet another organization within the city that provides special needs children with the opportunity to play baseball. The Miracle League owns a fully-lit, four-acre complex which includes the “Mays Family Field of Dreams.” “This custom-designed venue incorporates a cushioned synthetic turf that accommodates wheelchairs and other walking assistance devices, while helping prevent injuries” ("The Miracle League of San Antonio," 2016). Furthermore, the complex has three-acres of smooth asphalt that allows wheelchair bound individuals to play football, rugby, basketball, etc. The Miracle League can also count on strong financial resources with the support of major corporate sponsors like Tesoro, Valero, AT&T, HEB and the Charity Ball. This, along with individual donations, has allowed the organization to raise more than one million dollar ("The Miracle League of San Antonio," 2016). The approximate location of the field will be at a 20 acre section owned by the Texas Dodgers, located at Parkway Austin, Texas. The field, parking lot and building location may be obtained during a scheduled pre-bid walk thru and exact site locations should be included in package “A” plans and drawings by awarded contractor.
The financial goals for the Greensboro Stingers are to be in the top third of the league in ticket sales in the first year and to secure local radio and television deals by the end of the first year in operation. The non-financial goals of the Stingers are to make the playoffs in the first year and to develop and introduce new season ticket perks by mid-season of the inaugural year.
The Phillies are a proud baseball team with 2 World Series Titles and 7 National League Pennants. The Phillies play at a stadium called Citizens Bank Park, but sadly there lease has came up, and they need a new sponsor. The Phillies Stadium hold a capacity of exactly 43,647 people. Yet the average attendance in the past 10 years are 35,254, reaching a map attendance at 45,440. For luxury boxes the prices vary yet around $6,000. The Phillies offer four main suites; HOF Club Deck, Corporate Party Suite, All Star & MVP Suite, Bill Giles Party Suite. Most of the Party suites are along the third and first base side on the second and fourth level. Another club is called the Diamond Club, which the recipients receive credit to buy food and beverages.

The Little Orioles Baseball Club's operating budget for the team includes the cost of uniforms, equipment, tournament fees, travel expenses, and field maintenance. The Little Orioles needs to raise funds to help cover the cost of these expenses.
