Road Trip to San Diego! My family and I have been waiting for months to go on vacation to San Diego, California, for our 2015 trip. The place we're staying at is called Campland On The Bay, it has live bands, pools and hot-tubs, an arcade, a cafe, activities on the bay and so much more fun things. Plus you're right by the ocean so we're going to have an amazing time. Everyone going is my dad Terry, my mom Karen, my sister Arianna and my boyfriend of 3 years, Brett. Our family goes almost every year but, we never want to leave. I get the last bag we can possibly fit in the back of the rental car, say goodbye to my dogs and hurry everyone out the door. I'm in the middle of my sleeping boyfriend and my sister with no room, but somehow …show more content…
I go with my dad to pick out snacks and drinks for everyone, I was so tired because I had stayed up all night the night before, I was just too excited to sleep. I thought "maybe I'll sleep in the car, it will make the drive go by faster!" That didn't end up happening. We got all situated again and went on our way. It was only about 4 A.M so it was still dark outside. My parents had never been in a car that used radio from sattelites, they had fun listening to their favorite music the whole way there. Me and my sister listened to one of our favorite bands which we'd be seeing and meeting down there at San Diego Warped Tour 2015, we probably annoyed everyone in the car by singing so …show more content…
It's calling my name!" we all got our bathing suits on and walked over to the pool area. There is 2 pools and 2 hot-tubs, we all jump in the pool and officially start our vacation. Mom said "this is only the first day and we're already having so much fun! I love my family." we all say "love you too mom!" and swim for hours. "I feel like I'm already getting tan." I said while looking at my arms that were actually getting sunburnt, "put sunscreen on Corrina." my mom says "you're going to turn into a lobster." After we had our fun at the pool it's time for the Led Zeplin cover band, we get a little bit freshened up and go watch the band. My mom always goes up and dances when we're listening to live music, she asks my dad to come with her so he does even though he's a little shy. They danced and talked to other people their age all night. While Brett, Arianna and I were exploring the bay which was right by the stage, when all of a sudden fireworks go off from Sea World which is only about a 10 minute drive from where we were staying. You can see the reflection of the fireworks in the bay water, it was amazing! After all the fun we had that day plus the drive there we were all quite tired but, there was still one more thing we had to do, family fire time. We light a campfire roast s'mores and talk as a family, we laugh, joke and plan our day for tomorrow, of course this lasts for hours, but eventually we
So it was the ordinary start of summer to where I didn’t know what to do and then my mom randomly comes running in the rome saying,”We’re going on vacation!” My mouth dropped, I hadn’t even had relaxation yet and she is already telling me that we are going on vacation, great.

me going to Kings Island with my mom and my friends and the youth group in church. There 2 vans and 3 other cars but in the cars where the families that wanted to come along. And in the 1 of the vans all girls obviously i was in that one with me mom, and in the other van were all the guys of youth group. I feel like the only reason it took 3 hours to get to Kings Island was because we stopped at McDonald’s and honestly i was super hungry.
Last summer me and my family went to valleyfair. We got up really early because we had to drive to shakopee. It was a long drive and i fell asleep in the car. I hate long cars rides because they are always so boring, anyways when we got there we had to go through security and then go and get our tickets and wristbands. When we got in there we went on some rides and got food. All i ate that day was panda express. And i went on the wild thing and steel venom.
San Diego and from there to Chandler arizona. My aunt and uncle drove down from
The University of San Diego is the most picturesque and interesting school I have ever seen. The amazing campus flows on top of the massive hills and above the amazing city of San Diego. From any building or road on campus, you can get a view unattainable anywhere else in the world. The attribute though, that separates this university from all others, is the history behind it. The rich religious history gives every part of the campus meaning, not found at many other universities in America.
After a prolonged amount of reasoning, we’ve come to reach an agreement to convey a road trip from New Jersey to California. We chose these two states because of the amount of distance between the two and because of the long adventures that could come along. Even though we know our destination we could not just get up and drive without formulating any type of preparation beforehand. Personally, the best way to fully succeed a non-stressful trip is to formulate everything you would need to know beforehand. With that being said, Byron and I had to research all the possible information we need on this trip. Join us on the journey as we construct and strive to California.
he nation's third largest state after Alaska and Texas, California covers more than 150,000 square miles and offers a variety of activities, landscapes, cultures, and wild habitats. The state is also home to large deserts, magnificent mountain tops, Redwood trees, and even canyons. Exploring the entire state of California might not be possible, or practical for that matter. Taking a road trip, however, that explore regions of California allows you to get to know the state intimately while most importantly, traveling at your own pace.
Bulosan expresses some of the economic hardships and difficulties associated with assimilation encountered by Filipino immigrants in America. He describes the toil spent in the canneries of Alaska and Seattle, where the fishing company pays him only $13 for a whole season of work. Then, unable to find work in Seattle, he begins his long and arduous journey as a migrant farm hand, passing through states such as California, Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. The struggles he faces symbolize the financial constraints imposed on many Filipino immigrants who had their education overseas. Bulosan recalls many cases of racial prejudice and violence throughout his narrative. For example, in San Diego, where he tries to get a job, he is repeatedly beaten
We had to make a stop at the closest gas station to dry off and clean up the van. After the Gatorade incident we thought this trip was going to be awful I mean look at what had already happened. Three hours and 40 minutes later we arrive to get checked in and unpack all of our things. Things were starting to get better my group got the biggest room with the extra appliances and nice furniture. I was in charge off the key to the room it was a big responsibility because if we lost the keys we would owe $25 dollars for each lost key. Once everyone got settled in and all the keys and schedules were given out we went to the first
I got in the car with a few books, my kindle, and phone. My mom helped me set up a place of my brother and I to charge our electronics then we started driving. It was quite while we all lived in our own worlds for a few minutes: soon after my mom showed my dad a book she listened to an audible and the silence was broken by the book for hours. I read while listening and then we were there. As time passed my brother and I had gone on many road trips and were extremely good at waiting in car to arrive at exciting areas. We stopped halfway to our eventual destination, the Redwoods.
I couldn’t wait to see over fifty bands play. Most of them were my Favorite modern bands. It took us about two hours to get there. Once we got there we got out and took a couple pictures. When that was done she and I went in. It was our first time at Warped Tour and it was amazing. I got to listen to some of my favorite bands and have fun with my girlfriend. At one point she ended up getting over heated. I got her a drink to cool her down which worked. We walked around a lot and met a lot of cool people like us. It ended around eleven O’clock that night. We had a great time. Of course we waited on my mom to show up for an hour. During the time we had alone we laid on a bench. We talked until my mom got there it was one of the best times in my life, and we had actually went again this
When we arrived to the convention site, we went to our rooms and settled in. The road trip was about a 7-hour drive with restroom and food breaks. Later on, our teachers went to their rooms to sleep. One of the girls brought her disco Bluetooth speaker, so all the girls piled up in one room and just danced to the music that played.
My mom, dad, brother, and I were all putting sunscreen on, head to toe like we showered in it while we were waiting for the cab to pick us up to go pick up the ATV's. Once the cab got to the hotel, we all had to stuff ourselves and our belongings in it because it was one of those mini cars that only had room for three people, but we were four people not including the driver. At the ATV Rental place, we got sized for helmets and the ATV. My brother and I were not old enough to drive the ATV so my brother and my father went together while my mother and I went together. Before you know it, we were out and about zooming through the streets of Aruba to get the California Lighthouse which
It was the summer of 1977, and my father decided to pack the station wagon and drive from Fort Worth to Tampa, Florida. Besides my parents in the vehicle, my two sisters and brother also joined us for the long journey. I was young and excited and did not realize the distance my father would be driving on this trip. We made two stops on the way down and the first one was in Mississippi at a Holiday Inn. My first time spending the night the night at a hotel occurred on this vacation, and I was excited. We had adjoining rooms with my parents, and we spent the evening in the pool and watching television all night. I was never aware of my parents’ finances but I know now, we did not have a lot of money. From Mississippi, we stopped again in Tallahassee, Florida and we swam in the ocean during the afternoon and hit the hotel pool in the
