A procedure is very different from a policy. Where a policy sets guidelines for decisions, a procedure tells you exactly what needs to be done in a situation. It is a standard sequence of steps and processes. Working at Santander bank, I come across many procedures each day. I do not use the every procedure each day because each transaction is not always the same. But, one procedure which I do use frequently is cashing checks for non-customers. A non-customer is anyone who does not have a bank account, loan, or safe deposit box with the bank. The procedure for this is to first take two ID’s. One ID can be a primary with a photo and the second can be a secondary ID such as a debit, credit or health insurance card. The next step in this procedure

This interviewer was given the opportunity on several occasions to assist in the PerCo business office, which is also my place of employment. This interviewer was able to gain first hand information regarding the steps a small business practices to incorporate their business security plan. This interviewer has chosen this small business due to the complexity that exists due to minimal employees. In this business office there are only two employees, the Business Manager and the Clerk that manage the functions of the business operation. The system they practice has been working well for them for several years.
