Her solemn death, along with others murdered by illegal immigrants, has caused the citizens of the United States to attempt to increase the enforcement of immigration laws, and therefore add more protection to the country now and in the future. Character Counts Imagine having one arm. Every day would be a challenge. When people look at their problems and challenges, they just give up and think that it is over. Bethany Hamilton, at the age of 13, was attacked by a shark while surfing with her friends. Most people would panic, but Bethany remained calm and survived thanks to God’s help.

“I just got attacked by a shark!” pg 6 Bethany Hamilton is a girl who loved to surf. One day she was laying there mesmerizing, and all of a sudden the flashing of her watch or something attracted the 15ft tiger shark. When the shark seen the flashing, it then came up from the depth of the sea and bit her arm off, and left her surf board with the imprint of the sharks bite. While the shark was attacking she called out for help and her dad showed up tied her up and pulled her to the beach to safety. There she and her dad waited to the ambulance got there. Despite the devastating attack, Bethany Hamilton showed great resilience in achieving her dream for surfing.

She also sponsors her own organization for amputees in the U. S and gives motivational speeches around the world. Bethany incredible comeback is only part of her story. As she found her way back to surfing, She was flooded with letters thanking for her for being an inspiration. She then realized her purpose was greater than being an elite surfer. A shark attacks Three out of fifteen people every year… Bethany Hamilton, a championship surfer, was one of those unfortunate victims. Bethany was only thirteen when it happened; it was just a normal October morning at the beach, until tragedy struck. A fifteen-foot long tiger shark tore Bethany’s arm off, she was later brought to the local hospital. Bethany lost half of her blood, but she survived. But, there was a long road of recovery for Bethany, but no matter what happened she wanted to get back to the water. Bethany worked hard and showed great resilience during recovery in order to achieve her dreams of getting back to the water, and start surfing again.

Lauren Kalman is a contemporary artist whose pieces captivate an assortment of the human’s body functions illustrating abnormalities, societies ideology and others. Kalman was raised in the Midwest where she obtained a Masters in Fine Arts and Technology from Ohio State University. Kalman also has a Bachelor's Degree in fine arts, in metals from Massachusetts College of Arts. Kalman also did an apprenticeship for two years at the Institute of Sculpture. She currently teaches part time at various universities, including Brown University.

Don’t many people get attacked by sharks 2 out of 10 people will be attacked by one each year. Luckily she survived the attack by staying calm and not panicking. After the terrifying shark attack, Bethany Hamilton demonstrated resilience by overcoming the tragedy to achieve her surfing dream. She's a hero if you asked me. Although it may not seem like it Bethany helped many people with achieving their dreams and never giving up.

With an ever increasing support for women to be as equal as men in today’s world, the prospect of a movement encouraging women to dedicate their entire lives to serving their household seems absurd. The idea that a woman’s place was to be confined in a home doing domestic work for her spouse and children seems frowned upon now, but there was a time where this type of ideology was advocated and spread across America.

This paper pursues to address the question: How does one find realistic and beneficial meaning for today’s world behind the messages written into Ruhl’s whimsical approach to life through her plot structure? To answer this I will examine the dramatic structure within the plays Melancholy Play, Eurydice, and Passion Play. I chose
