For my research paper, I plan to write about the Boleyn/Howard family. I will be focusing mainly on Henry VIII wives Anne Boleyn and her cousin Catherine Howard. The time frame I look to examine is from the rise of Anne Boleyn and her family to the fall of Catherine Howard and the aftermath of their executions and how it affected the family left behind. I think that both the Boleyn's and Howard's were very influential towards the middle and end of Henry’s reign. Most prominent is Anne Boleyn who has been polarized throughout history as either an innocently executed wife or a malicious and ambitious she-wolf who brought down Catholicism in England. Whichever way you look at it Anne is one of his most remembered and influential wives. For whatever
Carrie Amelia Moore thought that drinking caused most of the problems in the world. She was against alcohol and she started trying to get it to be banned. Carrie is known for carrying a hatchet with her that helped her smashed public places. She kept thinking that god wanted her to travel around and get people to see the way she saw the problems of alcohol. She did speeches, used violence, and she was a member of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union who was known most from all of the other people who were in there..

Shannon Brownlee a writer for The Sacramento Bee states that the obesity problem has to do with the meal sizes of the seller. She says that “When they do well economically, we gain weight” (Brownlee, para. 4). Brownlee is trying to say that whenever people buy more and more fast food, the businesses get paid and the consumer gains weight in an unhealthy way. I agree with Brownlee on how businesses give out unhealthy food and do not care about the consumer. When businesses get paid they believe that the consumer wants more so they give what they get and what they give is unhealthy food and what they get is a lot of money. I agree with Shannon Brownlee on how businesses give out unhealthy food and do not care about the consumer. Brownlee is stating

When going through life, everyone needs a person that will be there with them every step of the way. A person to lean on to overcome the hard times and someone to rejoice with when life is at its highest moments. Thankfully for me, that particular person came to be a minute before I came into this world. My twin sister Kayla Skye Horton is truly my other half in life for an endless amount of reasons. However, due to the fact of time being a determinant in every aspect of life, there are qualities that my Kayla possesses that outshine the others.
Can you imagine being attacked by a shark at the age of only 13? Well Bethany Hamilton who is now 25 did just that and survived a vicious shark attack. Kathryn Howard was the daughter of Lord Edmund Howard, a younger brother of Thomas Howard, Duke of Norfolk. She was also first cousin to Anne Boleyn. Kathryn came to court at about the age of 19 as a lady in waiting to Anne of Cleves and there was no doubt that the spirited young girl caught Henry’s attention. Sixteen days after he was free of Anne, Henry took his fifth wife, Kathryn Howard, on July 28, 1540. Henry was 49 and his bride was no older than 19. King Henry lavished gifts on Kathryn and called her his ‘rose without thorn’ and the ‘very jewel of womanhood’. Less than a year into Kathryn marriage the rumors of her infidelity began. In a way, one couldn’t blame her for seeking the company of handsome young men closer to her age. But for that to happen even only in courtly flirtations, was dangerous for a Queen, especially one who came from a powerful family with a lot of enemies. By November 1541, there was enough evidence against the Queen that Archbishop Cranmer informed the King of Kathryn’s misconduct. At first Henry did not believe the accusations, but he agreed to allow further investigations into the matter. There was enough evidence and
"When can I get back in the water?" (scope 8) Bethany Hamilton asks while laying in the hospital bed. She had just gotten attacked by a 15 foot tiger shark while surfing. With most tiger sharks, after they attack something, they go back to eat it. Bethany was lucky that she wasn't the sharks next meal. After the terrifying shark attack Bethany Hamilton demonstrated great resilience by overcoming the tragedy to achieve her surfing dream. There are a few words that come to mind when I think of her and her horrific experience.
Hi, my name is Hannah Thomas and I live in Pleasant Plains, Arkansas. I am currently a nursing student in the RN program at UACCB. An interesting fact about me is that (with luck and lots of prayer) I will finish the RN program at the age of 19. My passion would really be becoming a nurse, even when I was little I knew that it was the career that I wanted to go into. I simply enjoy trying to make sick people better. My biggest pet peeve would have to be when people rinse food off of their plates into the sink, that's what trashcans are for and unless you have a garbage disposal it's disgusting. My favorite quote is "With God all things are possible." Mat

Someone who has achieved great success and influence that depicts the seven habits very well is Bethany Hamilton. Hamilton survived a horrific shark attack while surfing at the age of thirteen. She lost her entire left arm and seventy percent of her blood. It is a true miracle that Bethany lived, and she owes it all to her faith in Christ. Before the incident, Bethany was on her way to becoming an elite professional surfer. Most people believed that Bethany’s career was at it’s end after losing her arm, and experiencing the trauma of the attack, but Bethany knew that one day she would return to surfing. A month after the attack, Bethany was back in the water, catching waves. Of course, to make her comeback Hamilton had to have serious dedication, focus and training. She stayed committed, and today sits among the top 50 professional surfers in the world. Bethany won the ESPY award for “Best Comeback Athlete” and was presented with a special courage award at the Teen Choice Awards. Today Bethany uses her story and fame to travel worldwide and preach about the importance of faith and perseverance, in addition to making visits to other amputee patients around the world.
