Scrooge is overly grumpy and has extortionate avarice. He is a little miserly ol’ curmudgeon. He hates things like happiness, kindness, and Christmas until a clique of three apparitions comes and shows him otherwise. Scrooge was definitely not very liberal, but he is odious, and misanthropic. Scrooge was a miserable, depressed, heavy-hearted man. According to the text, no one ever stopped Scrooge in the street to say, with a gladsome look, “My dear Scrooge, how are you? When will you come to see me?” Scrooge has an unfortunate reputation of being antisocial, depressed, negative, untrustworthy. Scrooge is extremely uncaring, and thoughtless to the poor people, as he thinks there is a jail for poor people. In general, Scrooge is just very negative. After he saw this, he told the third spirit that he was not the man he was, and he shall honor Christmas in his heart and try to keep it all year.
