After Mufasa's death, Scar became a ruthless tyrant, ruling the Pride Lands through malice and oppression. In the following years, Scar denounced the laws created by his brother and caused a massive decline in their resources. Despite this turn of events, Nala managed to find their knight in shining armor; the lost prince of the Pride Lands. Once Simba returns, the prince orders the villainous tyrant to forfeit his title as king, however; Scar refused to resign. As a result, the pair engage in a brief skirmish to determine the true ruler of the pride lands. Near the climax of their confrontation, Simba managed to catapult his uncle off the ledge of Pride Rock. Eventually, Scar loses his life when a pack of Hyenas murder the former king and
After the process of making their way back home, both princes end up with fighting with their uncles. In “The Lion King”, Simba fights with Scar and Scar gets killed by the hyenas. Prince Hamlet in Hamlet kills king Claudius with a poisonous knife. Both “The Lion King” and “Hamlet” allows the main character to overcome a moral struggle. In “The Lion King”, Simba must act and be the king of his palace for sake of the animals of the kingdom and his father instead of running from what happened in the past. In “Hamlet”, prince Hamlet must decide to kill his uncle and take the risk of getting himself killed, or to keep the secret of King Claudius killing King Hamlet and live with it for the rest of his life.
This is because Scar does not want to confront the fact that he fails as King compared to Mufasa as this would destroy his superior image of himself, which substantiates his narcissistic sensitivity to criticism. Such narcissistic sensitivity to criticism is a prominent trait in sociopaths, as many of them are unwilling to accept disapproval since it opposes their ego. Next, Scar’s intolerance of failure further exhibits his narcissistic sensitivity to criticism. Simba’s mother warns Scar that “you have sentenced us to death!” after he refuses to abandon the Pridelands in result of the food insecurity. Scar then responds, “Then so be it”. Scar’s refusal displays his inability to accept that he has not been able to uphold the same prosperity in his Kingdom compared to Mufasa’s reign since acknowledging that would indicate that Scar fails as being King. Therefore, this confirms Scar’s sociopathy because sociopaths are unable to accept failure since that would signify their flaws and damage their grandiose self-image. Lastly, Scar’s inability to admit his wrongdoings further indicates his narcissistic sensitivity to
However, he doesn't feel he deserves to be king, thinking that he killed his father. This guilt plays on him all the time, and he truly believes that he doesn't deserve to be king. Despite this, Simba is a very noble sort of person, and would be willing to give his life for anyone. He is willing to fight for the beliefs that his father instilled in him. While quick to rise, he also tries to watch himself and calm down. He tends to watch himself often, trying to turn into the kind of lion, er, person his father wanted him to be.

I'm pretty big on 'getting even' with people who make me mad and would usually try and find ways for payback. Scar, too, likes to 'get even' and plans on getting his revenge on Mufasa for taking his place as king. I would sometimes think over the thought of 'revenge', instead of simple payback, I like to think that they'ed be dead some point and I don't have to worry of them coming back. Scar does not do simple payback either, nor will he would be satisfied with just Mufasa dead, in order for him to fully be king again, he too, needs to kill Simba, Mufasa's
"The King has returned." These are the powerful words Rafiki uses when telling Nala, Timon, and Pumba that Simba has gone back to the pride lands to overthrow Scar. Before making his entrance to Pride Rock, Simba's "palace," he gains three helpers to assist him in gaining his kingdom back; Nala, Timon, and Pumba all offer their services to him. There are a few scenes in the story that can be easily compared to the Odyssey. First, Simba wants everyone to continue to think he's dead, as Odysseus did prior to his own entrance. Second, Simba uses Timon and Pumba as a form of "Trojan Horse" to distract the hyenas while he and Nala sneak in. Third, Simba tells Nala to "rally the lionesses" as a form of weapon against the hyenas which are like suitors in his palace.
Often times, people find themselves in a rut. They want something, whether it is good luck, wealth, or fame. Typically people will turn themselves to the Devil for help. However, what they don’t know, is that there is a price. The Devil craves souls, and he would do anything to get one. An archetype is a recurring element or pattern in literature or other representative media that has a universal meaning. Usually a symbol, theme, setting, or character. Many stories are surrounded by the idea of making a deal with the Devil. The real question is, is it worth losing your soul?
Mufasa was the brother that was more extroverted, he had the throne, the strength, and all the good looks. Throughout the scenes in the movie you could see Mufasa had a personality of someone that was a strong, proud, and the dominant ruler of his kingdom. He was willing to protect his kingdom prepared to fight when he thought Scar had challenged him. He did all of that until his death, dying when recusing Simba from the stampede of wildebeest. He puts his trust into his brother who very easily betrayed him. Scar was the more introverted brother, he was much smarter than Mufasa, but didn’t have the looks, and his longing for the throne made him very deceptive. He produced the plan to at first kill his nephew, and then his brother. The first plan to kill Simba was by tricking him into going out into the elephant graveyard to be attacked and eaten by the hyenas. When that didn’t work he came up with the plan to kill Mufasa by not actually having to do it himself, giving the hyenas instructions when to create the stampede in which he had placed Simba right down in the middle of, knowing Mufasa would try to save him, because that is his son. These two brothers were very different Scar had a dark side going on while Mufasa was more of the bright light. One could say the message is that it it is brawn over brains which gets you money, power, and respect in the world we are living in
In a very sneaky way Claudius wanted everyone to think he was sending Hamlet away to be treated for him being crazy. He tried to make sure no one knew he was sending Hamlet to be beheaded in England. on the other hand Scar sets up a well planned trap for Simba. While he sets up for simba to be trampled Scar claws Mufasa on the cliff making him fall to his death. Scar then convinces simba that it was all his fault , and instructs the hyenas to scare simba off and tell him to never return again. Thinking of scars perspective he had a backup plan if Simba was to escape from the herd of beast he would get him to run away out of shame.
And soon, wounded, bloated, taking too much to the wine, Cleopatra came to despise him for a time, until their love overcame all and he died actually in the arms of Cleopatra as she took her snake to her bosom and died as Romans burst into her chambers, wanting them both alive for the victory parade through Rome
Sacar the villain of the movie "The lion king" have everything that someone could possible want- power and loved. But for him that is not enough. He let his ambition and his envy destroy every thing. Like expected he becomes king, but he loses the love of his nephew Simba and gain the hate of the entire population. However in the end he ends up being killed by Simba that becomes and beloved and honest king. Because of his envy and ambition Scar got blind and lost everything that he already had- love and power.
Scar uses Simba’s adventurous and curious characteristics to his own advantage. Scar purposely lures Simba to the elephant graveyard even though he is aware of the dangers that could potentially harm Simba. “And he's absolutely right. It's far too dangerous. Only the bravest lions go there” (The Lion King). Scar is aware that in order to become king, he needs Simba and Mufasa to not be in the kingdom. During this scene Scar tricks
Although The Lion King and Macbeth seems like two different stories. One is set in the medieval era while the other is set in postmodernity, but both displays the similarities of the character’s strategic battle for power. Scar, known as the villain in the movie, The Lion King, committed selfish acts to fulfill his distorted desires. As Simba was at the edge of the cliff, about to be murdered by Scar, Scar snarled at him, “That [is] the way your father looked before I killed him” (The Lion King). Simba leaped up from the side of the cliff, and pushed Scar to the ground demanding him to confess to his crime of killing the king, his father, Mufasa. This quote proves that Scar’s ambition leads him to do ruthless acts, wanting to kill Simba, who was next in line of the throne. These malevolent plots are what fuels the battle of evil against the good. Scar stated to his three murders, the Hyenas, “We [are] going to kill him. And Simba, too” (The Lion King). In the movie, The Lion King, shows that Scar is resentful of the king, Mufasa, and the power he retains. In this quote, he plans a plot on who he wants to kill with the three hyenas to help him finish the deed, which shows his strong ambitions. Another
The sound of the weeping animals filled the air when they found out their king, simba has died. But simba hadn’t been the only one to pass nala his wife and queen of Pride Rock has died also. This leaves their daughter kiara to be the queen of the Pride Rock. She is so hurt that she runs away into the forest. As she was running through the forest she runs into simba's friends timon and pumbaa.
On the other hand, in Disney's The Lion King, Simba's father is killed after he falls from a cliff into a herd of antelope. Simba falls into a deep depression after Scar twists things around and convinces Simba that he is the one responsible for Mufasa's death. Simba can not deal with what has happened and Simba exiles himself where he meets a warthog and meerkat, named Timon and Pumbaa, and develops a carefree lifestyle with them. Later on in the story, as an adult, Simba returns to the Pride Lands to reclaim the throne from Scar.
