Have you ever wanted to do something good for a change? Then you should become a "Seagoing Cowboy"! Becoming one comes with many upsides. For example, it encourages you to be hardworking, allows you to do something good for others, and you also have fun along the way! This would be an amazing opportunity for people who have lots of free time to do something splendid for others. One reason this would be good for a change is because it encourages you to be hardworking, even when the going gets tough. You have to take care of all the animals, day or night. You also have to be able to stay on the ship without getting seasick. Even though this might be tough and could hurt, it will surely encourage you, and all others, to do something
Roger began learning to rodeo when he was about 14 years old. He and his best friend would go everyday to a ranch next door owned by a pro rider who gave him lessons. Roger speciality was riding Brama Bulls. Brahma bulls is a very dangerous ride. The bull themselves can weigh from 1200-2000 pounds. Roger said I was big and strong. He said “It was like riding on an enormous muscle.” (He says that his wonderful Oklahoma drawl) Roger and his friends used to go to school dressed up in cowboys style. While most of the kids in the sixties would dress in the regular style of the high schoolers. Roger especially loved to wear his cowboy hat in his boots everyday. He love the challenge of riding the bulls. He was especially like meeting new
“What are you doing next weekend?” “Going to a rodeo.” “Oh... what about the next weekend?” “I have another rodeo.” I guess you could say that rodeo is kind of a big deal for me. That I’m a “Rodeo Nerd.” Whether it’s being in them, or just watching them. I love rodeos. I have many reasons to love them! Like for example, rodeos are always a ton of fun, you're always meeting new people from all kinds of places, and last but not least the cowboys!
Sunday, October 1, 2017, thousands of people gathered at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas for a country music festival. At 10:08pm, gunman, Stephen Paddock, opened fire from the hotel just above the field aiming at the thousands of innocent people. Paddock fired constant rounds for about 10-15 minutes, taking 58 innocent lives, injuring over 500, and then taking his own life. This is now considered the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.

If you like to hike, swim, explore, and do fun outdoor activities than you would love Voyageurs national park, located in Minnesota. I found most of my research on www.nps.gov. I like Voyageurs national park because there is a lot of wildlife and things to do. Voyageurs is a wonderful park, there is so much to do there and a lot to learn.
Early cattle drives headed west to the California gold fields after 1850, when cattle worth $5 to $10 a head in Texas would garner five to 20 times that amount in San Francisco. Most drives to California took five or six months. Some ranchers held contracts to supply beef to frontier forts and to Indian reservations in West Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico beginning in the late 1850s. Cattle ranching virtually halted during the Civil War years, as the frontier retreated. Beginning in 1866, however, ranching and cattle trailing expanded rapidly. Cattle drives to northern and western markets, and later to railroad-loading facilities, started in earnest in 1866, when an estimated 260,000 head of cattle crossed the

The Desert Southwest is a very interesting place for non natives. It is a very hot place it can get up to 140 degrees which is normal for the deseret but an night it's a different story it can lower to about 30 degrees that is 2 degrees lower than freezing point. That is like a huge freezer and the sand can get cold under the about 4-5 inches it is also traditional to to speak their language apachean it was mostley spoken by the natives.
One of the project areas I have consistently participated in is home improvement. My first year of 4-H, I made a bulletin board that had my name, along with pictures and quotes that represented me to hang up in my room. I remember my judge specifically telling me that she prefers to have a piece of felt or cork on the back of your project when you hang it on the wall to prevent it from scratching your wall. She also told me to look at the colors and make sure they all coordinate; those were both things I didn’t think about when making the project. I saved all of my judges notes, and the year after I read them all before and after creating a project to make sure I didn’t make the same mistakes twice. Each year I enter in this area, I improve my projects by applying all the tips I’ve learned previously and even more. This year, I also learned about the rule of three. The rule of three means that when you’re decorating, it’s better to have three objects rather than two. My judge told me odd numbers always look better in a room than evens, which is now just another trick I can use for future ideas and projects.
Traveling overseas can be a fun, dangerous and fulfilling trip. Luke traveled across the Atlantic Ocean 16 times and the Pacific Ocean twice during his Seagoing Cowboy career. He helped people affected by World War 2.
Those heading out from the Marathon marinas to the open waters should keep in mind that the entire area of the Florida Keys is a National Marine Sanctuary. Thus, people who run aground can be fined for it.
The reasons I would like to be on this boat with him because of how positive and experienced he is. Even though he is old, he would be calm and controlled because of the wars he fought in. This demonstrates that him being on a life boat stranded he won't panic and won't make the issues worse. And him being humors may change the mood on the boat because when you have positive thoughts usually you think of good things and in this case they may come up with good ideas to survive. The retired man for me would be like the dad on the boat when people are feeling down I think he will be able to motivate them and make them continue to stay
The water is freezing and sailors are waiting in line for quite some time before they’re finally allowed to dive in. The organization for a carrier swim call is basically a line which creeps slowly towards the edge of the hangar bay, but with 5000 sailors on board this process can take up to a few hours and the middle of the ocean isn’t particularly warm which leads to colds. The other issue is water based predators waiting for idiots to swim in their waters. This is why they post “lifeguards” to watch out for sharks. While there are preventative measures like nets around the water and buoys, the navy still takes measures to spot for threats such as sharks and migrating hordes of jellyfish waiting to devour a human being. However, if this happens then the swim call is called off and only those who were ahead of the line manage to have any fun. But, it’s not the same for other navy
The Seafarer by Burton Raffel was written during the Anglo-Saxon period where the Anglo-Saxon warriors lived to defend their King, like in the story Sir Gawain and The Green Knight. One of the warriors speaks about his challenges and begins saying that his story is not at all joyful. It is a story full of pain and suffering. The story paints a picture of what it means to be “dislocated”, “set out”, all by oneself and how badly it feels. “My feet were cast in icy bands, bound with frost, with frozen chains, and hardship groaned around my heart. Hunger tore at my sea-weary soul. No man sheltered on the quiet fairness of earth can feel how wretched I was”.(Raffel 1) The powerful imagery in this stanza sets the tone that the narrator is trying to
Times are changing and so are shipowners and requirements of seafarers. Just because their salaries have not increased in real terms does not mean that the cost of living on shore has not increased. In fact, the cost of living, medical expenses and also the life aspirations on shore have gone up substantially. Unless they plan our finances wisely and realistically we could be in for a serious shock in our later lives. Seafarers often do not plan for their own medical
