The scholarly activity chosen is option A. The main purpose of choosing this topic was to evaluate a wide range of conflicts and predispositions of self and other employees. This self-analysis will better prepare an employee on ways to reduce and to solve issues as they may occur. This assignment will help identify an employee strengths and weaknesses. There are many people that have intelligence and can perform well on a job. There are five conflicting styles used to improve with conflicts, discrepancies, and other incongruity behaviors amongst a group of workers. Zalaback (2011) Avoidance style is when people in an organization overlook the main problems. When practicing this method of style, these people typically have a difficult time achieving their own goals and other necessary job tasks. Compromising style is another method used when conflicts occur. This person plays the role of an mediator because they are willing to go that extra mile to ensure that everyone is happy and pleased with the overall decision made. Collaboration style is when a person tries to have a balance amongst the employees and their job duties, during a conflict. Competition style is when others forget to include the ideas of other co-workers. However, these competitive employees usually get their jobs done before others. There are different approaches that can be used to reduce tension amongst an group. Learning the different styles and multiple strategies to use to handle these problems before they escalade to other measures. Being able to speak to another employee in a respectful manner. Practicing these behaviors can help reduce conflicts. Give a person the opportunity to complete his or her own task. Stay within your boundaries. Most people should be willing to work with others. In order to work well with others, communication is the chief component to building a wide-range of stable relationships throughout the organization. The main point is to observe the behaviors of your co-workers and be able to talk to one another when a person becomes irritable or to feel disrespected by others. Build better relationships and the gain trust of these employees to be able to get the necessary job
