I loved that as we moved throughout the plot pieces of the puzzle were put together and we started to understand why we were shown certain things in the beginning. One thing I disliked but at the same time greatly enjoyed about this movie is how real it was. The stereotypes brought about in this film and the emotions that came with those stereotypes are still current today. I enjoyed this because after watching the movie it opens the viewer’s eyes more to the world around them, but I also disliked it because it stings knowing that people still have to go through such things. I absolutely loved this whole movie even though it made me feel guilty because I know at some part in my life I have stereotyped or discriminated against someone in someway.

This movie gives us a perfect example of how a conflict was not handled effectively because assumptions were made, the character jumped to conclusion, due to this the issue became worse than it should have been. The communication dynamics in this was always done through someone else therefore one person would get upset, because he misunderstood the person that was giving him information.

Overall I found the movie to be quite interesting and exciting at times but a bit slow in others. The story itself was very clear to me and didn’t cause any confusion. It had a good flow also, just as you were on the verge of falling into boredom with a scene they switched it up on you to keep you

I think it accurately portrayed the hardships families went through during the Great Depression. At first, everything was fine and James J. Braddock was a successful boxer with a good amount of money. Then, the Great Depression hits and Braddock struggles to support his family. He continues to box, but it is difficult for him to support his family off what little he makes. He tries to find other jobs, but struggles because he broke his hand in a boxing match, making manual labor especially painful for him. I thought this part of the movie was extremely sad. Braddock was trying so hard to support his family, but he could barely manage. He continued to box even though he was not healthy, as he had a broken hand and was extremely malnourished. His wife was always stressed and the Depression was a huge strain of their marriage. Their kids were young and didn’t really understand what was going on, but they still suffered from starvation and illness. I really liked the end of the movie when Braddock receives a large sum of money after winning a huge boxing match. He was able to provide for his family once again. I think this really shows that hard work eventually pays

This movie Directed by Paul Haggis who also directed Academy Award Winning "Million Dollar Baby" and had also won an Academy Award for this movie as well puts a twisted story in this film. This movie is trying to symbolize what goes on in the world today in regards to racism and stereotypes. He tries to make a point on how societies view themselves and others in the world based on there ethnicities. This movie intertwines several different people's lives, all different races, with different types of beliefs. Such ethnicities include Caucasians, African Americans, Hispanics, Asians and Middle Eastern. This movie includes conflicts on both sides of the picture from cops and criminals as well

The movie was a lot about a woman that survived the titanic and told her love story. I, myself, am a hopeless romantic. Her telling the story with her falling in love just made people want to watch the movie, but the real events that occurred and all of the children and families getting separated really makes me grateful for my family. The movie and learning more about the event that changed our society changed me and makes me think about how much we take for granted and how ungrateful we are. I think the titanic, the unsinkable ship, sinking got to people. Thinking back what if the titanic never sank?

To start off I felt this was a good movie overall. One scene I felt that had stood out was when the black man was showed the pattern on the cloth showing that there was a house he can escape to with his daughter. This scene kind of gave us a hint that many people probably knew about the house but was too scared to escape in fear of being caught. I felt that the black man was very determined to get his daughter away safely no matter what so much that he went in to unknown water just to hide from the slave masters. I was a little confused at the begging because I thought slave work consisted of picking cotton or some other hardship. There was a scene that stood out to me on a personal note. The scene were the black man was hanged and his daughter was watching as this occurred.

In conclusion I feel that the film was a great addition to the story and helped a great amount to the understanding of what was happening. Both the film and the story had their similarities but they both came to the same conclusion point. All in all I think that the the film and the story summarized the plot very strongly and that they were very detailed in describing all of the conflict between the different

I really like the movie and the story was very different than any other movies. Sherman’s way of writing the stories seems very unique and could not tell what would happen next in the movie. When Victor knew about his father’s death I was thinking he would not go to Phoenix to get his remains since he had hatred towards him but he decides to go which was surprising. It was always funny how Thomas kept telling stories about different stuffs to Victor even though he knew Victor don’t like to hear them. The author has tried to show the culture of Indians, the thoughts of people, how they dealt their life through his stories which I really found interesting and something different to learn. The author has showed how life was back then and I liked the fact he tried to show what impact it can have to a child’s mind if he sees his father drinking alcohol and tormenting his mother

It made really made me think if what the characters are doing morally wrong. Both cops handle justice a different way and no one taught Jake that the world is cruel, and twisted. This eventually causes the climactic intense ending, and will keep your eyes glued to the screen. Although I enjoy this movie there is somethings that could be better. For instance the movie has a slow start. I’m not going to lie, I did skip a bit to the ride along, for it was boring. I also would make a scene more believable, but I digress because if it was the movie wouldn't be able to continue. Overall this movie contained major keys to make it interesting.

The film “Guess who’s coming to dinner” surprised me. It was surprised me that a white girl and a black man would get married. It was surprising because in the 1960’s it wasn’t normal for a white and black person to get married. It surprised me that the mom was okay with their marriage so easily because I expected the mom to be like the dad and say no, but the mom was okay with her daughter marrying a black man because she knew it would make her happy. It stood out to me that Joanna didn’t care what her parents thought and told her parents that they were still going to get married even if they said no. It stood out to me that they were getting married so fast because I thought everything was happening really fast too just like their parents.

Although this film is disadvantaging to many people, it is also very beneficial. I think people that come from the lower class or an abusive household can really benefit from this film. The main point of this film is to show people that you can achieve anything you want to do no matter what background you come from, and although it might be hard because of economical/ personal issues you are not less of a person than anyone and you can still be successful. I love the idea of success because it doesn’t really have a set definition. You don’t necessarily need money to be/feel successful. You can work at Subway and still be successful while a twelve time Oscar winning actor can be successful. You sort of carve out your own success and make your own definition for it. This movie will also teach people that they are not on their own. Although you might think nobody is there for you, when you enter a room you don’t know what everyone is thinking or how everyone feels; you might now even know everyone. It is kind of like when you’re putting together a puzzle, you put certain pieces together and you get closer to finishing and you just need to keep trying to solve the puzzle because if you give up you just wasted your money on a puzzle

He knows that he can¡¦t be that selfish, so he agrees with the marriage and makes a great wedding party for her. The plot is very interesting, because George makes a lot of funny things through out the film. The story is believable, because the father¡¦s love is a truth that can happens in families. The film is well written, because the plot is simple, but when it shows in a film, it¡¦s a great movie to enjoy.
