While some deer hunters can pick up shed antlers like a kid collecting quarry stones, there are others who couldn't find a bone if their life depended on it. What do the most successful shed hunters do that separate them from the rest? A couple key things can have a huge positive impact on how many sheds you find. For example, perhaps they cover more ground, or they spend a greater length of time doing it. Here are the top three things that will ensure you have a successful shed hunt.
Tip #1: Locate the Food Source
In the late winter season, bucks are all about keeping their bellies full, so you only have to find a good food on your property to locate the antlers. What are some good food sources for deer? Anything from corn to soybeans to
It is impossible to discuss deer at all without talking about deer management, because there is there hardly a deer alive in America today that is not directly influenced by man. We control the water the deer drinks, the food that it eats, and the land that it lives on, and we regulate the manner, sex, and amount of deer harvested. The problem lies in the way we manage the deer herd. The time has come to practice Quality Deer Management.

They are usually found around the Buttes and Bluffs rather than the Tree Groves and Corn Fields. Hunters that are dead set on finding a trophy Mule Deer will most likely be found West of the Missouri River. However, whitetail deer have been known to live anywhere and all over South Dakota.
I am playing the Anti Hunter Activist role in animal rights. I am going to be fighting against people who do hunting, fur trapping, pigeon shooting and Alaskan Wolf hunts. I will be dressing up in camo and have a big red line through it to show that I am against Anti- hunting activist. The props I will use to show how hunters use animal props. I will use an intimal letter made out animal antlers, Uggs that are made out of sheep skin. I will also use a handout out that better explains fur trapping and pigeon shooting.
One of the largest rodents is the Sciuridae family is the Woodchuck (Marmota Monax) or more commonly known as the Groundhog. It is a fairly common animal most heavily found in the north and north eastern parts of the United States and across most of Canada (Encyclopedia of Life, 2015). Most Woodchucks choose to live in a habitat of grasslands or along the edge of a forest. They tend to like a cooler climate, but during the heart of winter they will hibernate in burrows that they dig throughout the year. The Woodchuck is a incredibly interesting animal that creates elaborate burrows for homes and one of the true hibernators.

The elk (Cervus canadensis) is one of the largest species of the Cervidae family in the world, and one of the largest land mammals in North America. Early European explorers in North America, who were familiar with the smaller red deer of Europe, thought the larger North American animal resembled a moose, and consequently gave it the name elk, which is the common European name for moose (Wikipedia 2014).

Deer can destroy a huge amount of a farmers’ crops. A dozen deer eat about nine million soybeans in a single growing season, which that would only be like 500 plants; they can kill a eighth of an acre just a mother and her two fawns. So if you have thirty deer on your property then there goes a lot of your crops. That is a major reason why farmers hate deer and love deer hunters. Deer also destroy property fences and electric fences that are keeping the cattle contained and when deer knock off all the insulators of the electric fence it gets grounded and makes it where cattle can just walk right through the fence and get free.
A snipe hunt, is a type of practical joke initiated by one party that usually leads a second party on a "wild-goose chase." The Cunninghams had apparently falsely notified Tate of some form of non-existent emergency deep in the woods, knowing that the sheriff would diligently pursue the call and leaving the jail unguarded, except by

The movement of a whitetail deer changes according to the weather. There are several different factors to consider when talking about the weather, but the one of the leading factors is the temperature. Some people believe that the colder it is outside, the better the hunting becomes. This is true until it gets so cold that the deer have to bed down and not move to stay warm. When the temperature begins to drop down to about 35 degrees Fahrenheit, the deer begin scrambling for food to prepare for winter and the rut. The rut is a deer’s mating season. This has the deer at a constant movement and makes for prime hunting.

Hurdling is an exciting and challenging event. In order to be successful, here are some tips. When getting nearer to the hurdle your leading leg must be picked up fast in order to not drop or bump into the hurdle. The leading leg should reach the highest point and as the leading leg raises the opposite arm should help forward. This tiny skill in doing hurdles helps out a lot when playing Rugby. As when someone may come to tackle you, you can use the skill from Hurdling to overcome the factor such jumping very high to pass the opponent who may be trying to bring you down from underneath or pushing with your arm forward to pass the opponent. This activity will be repeated twice and will roughly take 2-3 minutes.
Fawns tend to stay with their mother for a good portion of their first fall season. Fawns can be weaned at ten weeks old this doesn’t mean that they will stop nursing, but they are able to live without their mother’s milk (Adams). Since, fawns are born in May and early June they can be weaned from their mother by August (Adams).
