Sherwood Pines is a forest and natural park located 20 miles from Nottingham. Stretching over a surface of 450 acres, the forest makes for an ideal outdoor experience, because it features an amazing ecosystem. It is a perfect location for everyone who wants to get away from the bustle of the city and reconnect with nature. Sherwood Pines is famous mostly due to the story of Robin Hood, and even these days the forest is mostly associated with this legendary figure. Getting there Sherwood Pines is located within a short distance of the city of Nottingham, so you can get to the forest by car, train, tram or bus. By train and tube: the closest railway stations, Shirebrook and Mansfield, are too far from Sherwood Pines to travel by foot.
