The civil war is the most violent war in American history, a war against Northern Free States and Southern Slave States to see which side wins because, the nation was split in two nations. The weapons were used in the war are Battle knifes, Musket rifles, Hand guns, Gatling guns, and cannons for maximum damage and kills to the enemy.

I have Medieval Weapons , I will start with the Crossbow and it is a weapon used in the Middle Age, consisted of a tiller, made of wood and often decorated with horn ivory or bone, to one end of which was attached a short bow. The medieval crossbow was an important weapon in the medieval combat environment. It was primarily used for military purposes. The weapon was used by armies all over the world and dramatically changed the way battles were fought.Initially, this was just made from wood, like the ordinary bow, but was replaced by stronger and more powerful composite bows made from several layers of horn and sinew glued together.

The Civil War is a harsh part of American history but the life of the soldiers was a real struggle. Most people know that the soldiers had a miserable life but it was far worse than people assume. Weapons weren’t easy to use, training was like starting from scratch and the camp life was miserable. Whether is was the North or the South, life wasn’t easy. Therefore, during the Civil War, the soldiers continued the courageous and daring fight in spite of poorly constructed weapons, labored training, and dreadful living conditions.

The Civil War caused great leaps and bounds in technology. not only for guns and cannons but medical support and transport. we had to advances in weapons transportation and medicine. Life wouldn't be the same without these advances.

During the Civil War, there were many weapons used, that played a big role in the civil war and how it shaped America. The war brought great trials and tribulations as it came to the development of new war weapons and blockades that gave each side a higher rank as it came to the deciding of the civil war. During this war, both sides had an upper hand when it come to the weapons they used and the several tactics they used to ambush and attack the enemy. There were many essential weapons such as in the civil war that played a huge real in shaping the way the war would turn The weapons in the civil war were essential in making the war the bloodiest in America history.

Many weapons helped the Union win the Civil War, but a very important group of weapons was called the bladed weapons. The Union came up with the idea of bladed weaponry, however the Confederate thought that was a useful idea to have bladed weapons, so this is why most of the confederate bladed weaponry looks like the Unions bladed weaponry. There were many bladed weapons of the Civil war such as Model 1832 foot artillery sword, Model dragoon saber model, 1840 light artillery saber,1840 non commissioned officer sword,Model 1840 cavalry saber, 1860 light cavalry saber,M1860 cutlass,and the Bayonet.

Picture a Civil war battlefield. You see explosions of gunfire and you hear the deafening roar of guns and artillery. The Civil War was fought in 10,000 places and was the bloodiest war in American history. Over 3 million Americans fought and more than 600,000 men, almost 2 percent of the population, died in it (About). This war could not have been fought without many different types of weapons and many advances in weapon technology.

At the beginning of the Civil War, the Regular Army Soldiers were generally armed with primarily the 1842 Springfield, a .69 caliber smoothbore musket, and with whatever weaponry that was purchased by state authorities. This included other various types and calibers of domestic and foreign smoothbore guns and the longer rifled muskets. In 1861, a shortage of rifles on both sides forced the Northern and Southern governments purchase weapons from European nations. Also widely used was artillery including cannons. Some of the new weapon technologies used in the civil war include rifled gun barrels, the Minie ball and repeating rifles. (Parker 2005-20016)

The repeating rifle was a new type of weapon had a greater range and was more accurate than the muskett. Tese were unable to be used in war until the 1850s because the bullet and the barle were so close in size. In 1848, the Minié bullet was invented. They could be loaded faster and they were more accurate. Because stopping to reload was dangerous, in 1863 Repeating rifles were invented. The most famous, the Spencer carbine, could fire seven shots in 30 seconds. Hydrogen passenger balloons were used to spy on confederate camps by the union. Ironclads were also used by the union to patrol the coast and keep ships from going in or out. The Confederates counteracted this by inventing their own weapon, the submarine. The first one, The USS Hunley sank the Housatonic in 1864.

the medieval period was known to be very violent. Every man expected to use weapons during the changing times of the Dark and Middle ages. And one of the most highly appreciated pieces that ever invented during the medieval period was the suit of armor. Therefore, the invention of the suit of armor created a time when war technologies, protectiveness, and powers pushed to its limit. It takes centuries for the medievals to master their skills and creativity of making the suit of armor.

The Renaissance, which means rebirth, was after the Middle Ages. It held to have been characterized from interest in values and classical scholarship. It was also the discovery and exploration of new continents. To scholars though, it was a new time of classical learning and wisdom. In the Renaissance, the Technological Revolution developed new hand weapons. There were a bundle of hand weapons, but three main categories of hand weapons were sharp hand weapons, blunt hand weapons, and Polearms.

During the dark age, there were many weapons used. Men in the dark ages were very good fighters and were very skilled in using all weapons. The main weapons included the spear, the sword, and many more. Of course, each fighter had body armour, a helmet and some sort of weapon. The helmets and body armour were their main protection from being hurt in battle and kept them from dying. Although it didn’t always protect them, it at least made it safer for them.

Renaissance Weapons, Armor and Inventions Renaissance weapons, armor, and inventions were varying in size, type and design. Their variation was due to a variety of needs of war at the time. During the renaissance there were many different kinds of weapons and armor commonly used during that time. The most common of those weapons included swords, daggers, axes, maces, war hammers, bows and crossbows.
