I want to start off this speech of mine by asking you guys, do you think you can see clearly if you only have one eye? Do you think you can easily shoot a basketball in a ring without a backboard? Yes you can still see with only one eye but you’re going to have a hard time seeing, you just have to be used to it and yes you can still shoot a basketball in a ring without a backboard but again, you’re going to have a hard time doing so and you need to be special and be skilled to do so that’s why I THANK GOD I HAVE THEM BOTH and I’m not talking about having a backboard and a ring or having both eyes but yeah, I also thank God for having both of my eyes working… I THANK GOD I HAVE THEM BOTH because I didn’t had a hard

What sport do you enjoy playing or watch the most? For me the answer had always been Baseball. Starting being played in the late 1800s Baseball has since become a national Pastime in the United States. I hope this speech will help you gain a better understanding on how the sport is played.
intramurals game. This may be merely a fair loss, but some players suspect foul play. In their game of Trash-can Ball, you were not supposed to step in a certain square, and an anonymous witness says they saw a player stepping in about two or three times. Every time, the witness would tell the player they cannot step in, and all the opposing player would do is look at them and smile. In Trash-can Ball, we all wore belts with strips of yellow-- or red-- coming from them, also called a “flag”. If a player had the ball, an opposing player would be able to pull their “flag”, and get the ball. Other witnesses claim to have seen players on the other team with their flags tied on themselves,
Thank you (Blake, Jacob, Melody, student and John) for hosting our visit to Purdue. Steven and I had a wonderful time on your campus and learning about your summer session operations. We truly appreciate your efforts in planning and coordinating the various meetings and listening sessions with your campus partners and division leadership. You all have done an incredible job with growing your summer enrollment, developing strategic initiatives and building a strong summer brand.
I kept reading the speech out loud to myself over and over again, making minor changes here and there to set the tone. I did not want to come off as sexist or cocky because I really wanted to connect with the young ladies. I mentioned in the speech how my mom always said that I was the prissiest tomboy she had ever seen. My basketball coach even chimed in and said that he could testify to me being 100% athlete on the court and 100% young lady off the court. He briefly joked about my defense skills and how I would leave the basketball court, all sweaty having put up double figures, but then come out of the dressing room with hair done, makeup perfected and wearing heels. He said that he oftentimes had to do a double-take because he couldn’t
Good evening and thank you for allowing me to share a small issue with you tonight.
Yikes! That's playing "hardball" isn't it. I mean, if my dead ancestor made a point to go and visit me and tell me their point of view on an existing situation it might be wise to take what they have to say in to consideration... that a lot of effort on their part.
Last Friday these students went to the info session for Real Talk. I need to email them information regarding about tomorrow's meeting, however I only have their first names, therefore, I can't find their emails.
Are you that type of person who thinks that if a person has a disability then they cannot participate in any sports? Well, I am here to let you know that there are a lot of sports and activities that people with disabilities can participate in. One adaptive sport that I find interesting is wheelchair basketball.
So I was playing basketball on this cold horrific day it was about to rain but I was determined to beat them. I was with Myles, Darion, Jake, Devon, and Don. We all wanted to play each other real bad . And we all agreed were playing a pickup game on this specific day, because this was the nicest day this month. Also I couldn’t wait to show this big polar bear , my older Cousin,Myles, that my brother and I can kill them...beat them in basketball. So in this game we were going at it like wolves fighting over kill, no one was letting up on anyone. My brother was always the giant twin so he was around there size then theres come me this little ant that had skills but was too small finish at the hole without getting blocked. The entire game we
The unforgettable times when I gasp for air -- legs weak, feeling the burn--make me feel like I’m not gonna make it out of that gym. But when it's all over, I know I accomplished something growing as a player, and the only thing bringing me back is my belief in the love of basketball.
I am currently a student at FSUPC and I am starting the Communication Club back up. I saw on facebook that the club had a facebook page. Is there any chance that you still have the password? Also, do you have any tips or any wise words as past president? Dr. Halvorson has shown me some of the old minutes from past meetings, but I would love some words of wisdoms from someone that has been in the President position.
On the morning of October 27th I attended a Friends University Chapel program in alumni auditorium and I listened to a jazz band and prayed with my fellow classmates. I knew there would be a guest speaker at some point during the service and I was excited to hear her speech. We prayed, sang a few songs and then got ready for our guest speaker. Marla Schmidt was introduced and she talked to the congregation about the importance of accepting refugees that have escaped religious persecution and war from their homeland and fled to our community in search of a better life. Marla serves as the Field Office Director for the Episcopal Migration Ministries- Wichita refugee resettlement agency. She gave a speech that involved accepting refugees from different parts of the world into the United States of America and helping them adapt to life in the United States.
What aspects does The Art of Public Speaking by Dale Carnegie (1915) make the textbook “stand out” and provide a thorough yet specific understanding when presenting a speech? Carnegie exploits a variety of “efficiency” in his following chapters—three, four, five, seven—providing real-life examples, metaphors, and advice.
