Ann Richards born as Dorothy Ann Willis was born on September 1, 1933 in Lakeview, Texas. She passed away on September 13, 2006 at the age of 73 because of esophageal cancer and is buried in Texas State Cemetery in Austin, Texas.Born to Robert Cecil Willis and Mildred lona Warren, she was their only child.Growing up in waco she went to Waco high school and graduated in 1950. At nineteen she married her highschool sweetheart David Richards on may 30, 1953. They had four children whose names are Cecile, Daniel, Clark, and Ellen. She went on to go to Baylor University and graduated in 1954. Doctor Dorothy Otnow Lewis was a psychiatrist who has been investigating inmates who are on death row to find the relation between damaged brains and violent behavior. She reviews over their medical histories, specifically their brains in order to see where damage the damage is located in each person’s brain. She states, “while most damaged people do not turn into killers, almost every killer is a damaged person” (DIPC, “Damaged Brains and the Death Penalty”). This statement can be explained with the information that is stated above with James Fallon. In 1948, she graduated from Dillard University, and move to New York City two years after. Her career began in 1955 as she performed in the Broadway show Take a Giant Step. She knew she acting was her passion so she continued to do it her entire life. Richards was nominated for a Tony awards years later for her outstanding performance on stage. But stage was not her only doing in acting; she also acted in numerous television shows. Richards also won two Emmy awards for her performance. Doris Miller was born in Waco Texas on October 12 1919. His parents were farmers who worked outside the city. Their names were Conery and Henrietta Miller. Miller grew up playing football and he played for Waco’s A.J. Moore Academy he was 200lbs and grew to 6’3. At the age of 17 he dropped out of school and at age of 20 he decided to enlist for military and got accepted.Miller was eventually promoted to Cook then was assigned to the USS Virginia, which was stationed at Pearl Harbor Hawaii. The cooking position was one of the few positions that Black Americans could take on.

Human beings are complex, “quirky” beings with behaviors and beliefs that may seem unpredictable at first glance. How else could bizarre delusions and faulty thought processes, blind obedience to tyrannical rulers, clusters of people behaving as one, and large-scale bad decisions be explained? Fortunately, human beings aren’t as chaotic and unpredictable as one might imagine; most behaviors can be predicted by looking at sociological theories.

I asked about emailing it to her, but she declined. The secretary Sharon Fields said Mrs. Willis specifically said in class we would need to come in person.
