Should Americans learn a foreign language ? There are many reasons to why Americans should not learn a foreign language but there are also many reasons why Americans should. Most people think that learning a foreign language is very difficult , which it is , but there are a lot of benefits that can came out of being bilingual. About one in every five Americans believe that learning another language is important. Americans should have to learn a foreign language because they can make more money , connect with people , and travel easier. One should learn a foreign language to be able to make more money. Being a bilingual worker , that person can make more money than the average person who can only speak one language. If one was to go to another country , one big concern will be , how will they communicate with others. “Language is the road map of a culture. Learning a new language always brings with it many issues, but mainly when this one it is not very usual in your environment. I am from the Dominican Republic, a country located in the Caribbean which is visited by a big amount of tourist the whole year.
