Many individuals are wondering if Euclid high school is going to offer fast foods such as taco bell, chipotle, wendy’s, and much more. Of course students would love to have this option, because most of them are disgusted by the lunches that are provided by the school. There are a number of outcomes that can come out of this idea, some in which are good and some in which are bad. Personally in my opinion these options shouldn’t be brought into the school’s cafeteria. This idea is not the best fit for this school. Euclid High School should not offer students the options of having fast foods while in school. As for the student’s and others who think fast food would be a great option, they’re not thinking of the …show more content…
The lunches that are served in Euclid’s cafeteria are not very tasteful, but there are things that can be done about this. Although i think fast food is not the best option, I think Euclid can only blame themselves for the horrible food they serve students. Adding a bit more flavor to the food is one thing they can do to provide better lunches. Another thing that can be done about this situation is the proportion of food that is served. I do not think the amount of food that is provided is actually enough for majority of the students here. Euclid needs to work on improving the food in which they serve. If you agree with me we can help make sure students are eating healthy while in school. However everyone will not have the same say there will be disagreements as well as agreements. In conclusion to that Euclid bringing fast foods into the school will only harm the students health. By students being unhealthy it affects their focus on school. Students will also be wasting tons of unnecessary money on fast food. If you agree with me that fast food shouldn’t be in the school's cafeteria will you vote and sign my
Also, fast food has an abundant amount of calories out of an average diet of a teenager, leading to an unhealthy diet. Next, it was researched by scientists that eating too much fast food could lower the intelligence of a child. Finally, Many American children’s only balanced meal of the day is their school lunch and the rest of the meals are based around fast food. Then that means if a school serves fast foods such as McDonalds of Burger King, there would be nothing to balance out the child’s daily meal. Serving fast foods at schools would put more students into risk of their health.
Fast food chains are a rapidly growing industry. My favorite fast food restaurant is Taco Bell. Schools should not serve fast food because it’s unhealthy, expensive, and takes time.
Not only do both of the reasons above prove and show great examples of why or why not schools really should or shouldn't let school cafeterias be transformed into fast food courts supplied by fast food companies, in the end it's the school's themselves who make the choices to change the foods that they supply. Therefore here are three examples at which they can use to see if there school is even ready to make the leap toward fast food companies supplying lunches. First the school will need to be sure students can afford the lunches, second make sure the school can afford it as well, and thirdly the schools will need to have make sure the students are willing to go along with it. Although there is several more steps in which changing to a fast
School Lunches Must be Improved Are you tired of seeing pizza, chicken sandwiches, and juice on the school lunch menus that causes children to be obese? Here is a way that school lunches can be improved. Schools should provide a more healthier lunch by serving fresh fruits and food. A school lunch contains a ready-made-frozen entree, fruit in bags or containers, chips, and milk and juice; consequently, causing our children to pick up weight and become obese. Let's improve the school lunches by having freshly cooked meals, fruits, and items with nutritional value.
National school lunch programs in California are poor in quality when it comes to the nourishment of our bodies, leaving behind the vitamins and nutrients children and adolescents need in a meal. The investment in school lunches is crudely frail, instead of feeding our children healthier choices we resemble a fast food portion of food. It is comparatively as if one was eating any type of food served in a fast food place, equivalencing the same amount of calories. This happens in most public schools in California not primarily just in Granite Hills High school, although private schools seem to have healthier and a variety meal choices rather than public schools. For this purpose,we should strive to improve better lunch programs quality and not quantity. We
In the recent survey more than 54% of high school students say the school lunches don't have enough food or nutrition. Students should have the right to eat healthy and good tasting food. The district who orders the school lunches have been losing money for buying the lunches every year. Leading to a continuous decline in quality. The lunches are not enough nutritious for any athletes or the kids in general. The kids do not have enough food to stay healthy and energized. The school has lost to much money for lunches, and they are leaving kids hungry, sluggish, and miserable.
Instead of making the students throw away the healthy food, why not serve tasty food that’s also healthy? If I were to give an example, I would say cheeseburger. Even the pizza schools serve are extra
Skyler’s school has just recently started serving McDonald’s food and she couldn’t be happier. Skyler waits in line with hundreds of other kids who eat there now. After waiting for what it seems like forever she gets to the food, she gets a Big Mac with an M&M Mcflurry and a cookie. Nothing healthy there. Skyler is enrolled in track and has a race coming up soon and she should be eating healthy in preparation for the big race, but everyone is eating McDonald’s so she has to, right? A week of unhealthy eating rolls by and the day of the race arrives. She struggles to run, feeling sick in her stomach and ponderous. Skyler isn’t the only one that struggles with the temptation of fattening foods. Millions of kids are becoming obese, and companies don’t care. They make money off of them poisoning themselves, and now people are trying to bring fast food into their schools. “A study of 1,300 lunchboxes taken to school by pupils aged eight and nine found that crisps, sweets, and sugary drinks took precedence over fruit, vegetables, and milk based products.” (Piehl). Fast food
First, cafeterias should serve fast food because more students would enjoy the choices. The hash browns they have, are not good and you would get more people to buy. 75% of Americans eats fast food each year.
Some people believe that the teachers should bring their own lunches and the students should eat the schools the lunch. The school should not sell fast food to the teachers or the students. While others believe that schools should sell fast food to students and teachers. If the teachers fail to remember to pack a lunch and doesn't like the school lunches, but like McDonalds and the if school sells it then the teachers could have a lunch they like. The schools with fast food provide a way teachers and students who hate school lunches and fail to remember their lunch at home a way to eat at
Most students at Conroe High buy lunch from the food line, but most of them don’t even eat the food. Instead of wasting school lunches, the principle should allow students to leave school at lunch to buy themselves lunch elsewhere because the student can eat what they want and what they like. When students return to school, most likely they will be in a better mood because they ate what they craved instead of gross school lunches.
In his article (Kids Give Healthy Foods an A+) the writer founds that there is schools are serving healthier foods, and most kids are eating them. So, that is means no more unhealthy foods in schools. Across the country, school lunchrooms are serving up healthier foods and the kids are not complaining. In fact, food service directors around the country say that many kids actually prefer healthy foods. In addition, this program targets schools that receive government money to pay for food. These schools must develop healthier menus and make it healthier to protect kid's health. In 2005, at least 17 states made laws to put healthy foods and drinks in school cafeterias. Moreover, one law says that by next fall, food items must contain no more
Having fast foods at school won’t be a good idea now that the kids don’t finish their
First, reason I think we should sell fast food in school is more choices to choose from because it’s their lives and it’s a free country and we should get to choose what we want to eat.For example i’m allergic to kiwi and if they server it i will swell up.
Fast food can actually be healthier than lunch food. Fast food may have quality meat, depending on which fast food restaurant, but it is very high in calories, carbohydrate, oil, and fat. Lunch food may use different meat, depending on which school it is, but there are standards for what meat and food is being sold in schools, which for that, students can be eating healthily. Fast food should not be served at schools it contains many chemicals that aren’t safe for students to eat, fast food can also lower academic performance for many students, fast food is the cause of diseases, leading students to probably feel sick if they aren’t eating the right foods. Fast food would be nice as an option for students for eating, but the only reason that fast food should be served as lunch is if the cafeteria food is not hitting standards or expectations.
