Firstly, a lot of students agree that we should be allowed to carry backpacks. A poll in our school proves that 19 out of 20 kids say yes to this thesis. Also, many middle schoolers complain about having to carry their stuff with them to all of their classes. It can get really annoying if things keep falling or sliding off. Another thing deals with the lockers. Some lockers are hard to get open and that can be frustrating. Especially when the bell rings and the lockers still won’t open. Having our backpacks with us would be so much easier.
Clothing is one of many ways people express themselves to the world in which they live. One important piece of clothing is headgear. For example, a hat can be used to show someone’s favorite sports team, favorite band, favorite color, or maybe it just signifies your culture and/or faith. Headgear can tell a lot about someone and it can also hide what people do not want others to see. However, schools around the country continue to put strict rules in place which stop students from expressing themselves through the use of headgear. Headgears should be allowed for all students to wear as it symbolizes not only their beliefs and culture, but their individuality as a person.
I believe that middle school students should have lockers. It could be difficult for them to carry all of their stuff. Their bookbags could be too heavy, which might hurt their backs. Lockers could make keeping up with school work much easier. It makes it easier for students to be organized too. Students would also be prepared for class more.
Unfortunately, there is no solution where the teacher and students are pleased with the backpack rule. The teachers and students will never meet agreement because if we change the period to period 8 then teachers that have seventh and sixth graders could trip and get aggravated with the backpacks in their classroom. We also can’t please the student because we can not make the busses come earlier or make special adjustments for locker arrangement. One of the only ways we can resolve this problem is when the students understand the teacher's point of view and when the teachers understand the student's point of
Going to a locker is genuinely inconvenient and can leave students being tardy because they either had troubles with their locker or did not have enough time to go to back and forth to their locker and class. In addition, when students are in such a rush they constantly forget supplies, and it leaves them having to go back to their locker and miss class time. There are numerous reasons for why backpacks should be permitted and why they do have a good use. However, many people may think that backpacks are unsafe, a distraction or are misused. But, all students should not be punished for those who misuse backpacks, only those abusing the use of backpacks should be punished.
Have you ever had to go all the way to your locker just to get one thing for one class? If we could just take our backpacks or something to carry things with, we wouldn’t have that problem. At Romig Middle School, we aren’t allowed to bring such things. Instead of carrying our backpacks we have to keep them in our lockers at all times. If we do take backpacks with us to class, we get in trouble by our teachers or security guards. Going back and forth through the hallways wastes needed energy that we already don’t have because of the long and early school hours. Not only does it waste energy, but it’s also time consuming and causes us to become late for class. Students should have the option of carrying some of our things through the hallways
Watching the news every afternoon to see another victim assaulted, killed or abused with the use of a gun makes my fear grow immensely. Many things can occur with someone that has a gun in hand. In colleges and universities individuals have used their gun power to brutally kill students. Recently the State of Texas approved open carry in school grounds. Open carry should not be permitted in Texas colleges and universities.
In this essay I will be discussing if I believe that teachers should be able to carry guns with them for school safety. Teachers would be carrying guns also called a sidearm to prevent or to defend themselves and the children from an active school shooter. I don’t believe that teachers should be able to carry guns.
Should students be able to bring their blankets to school with them? Why or why not? If we allow students to bring their blankets to school with them then there’s going to be less kids stressed out about their work because they’ll be content and soothed. There’s going to be less students who will be late to school in the mornings because they won’t be freaking out on what they should wear to match the different temperatures throughout the school. There is the possibly if we allow students to bring blankets to school that it will get other kids around them get off topic or get themself off topic because they’ll be more focused on what’s going on
Teachers should not be allowed to carry guns during school because students could discover it and use it on somebody at school. A student could harm another student for no reason it will not be safe for teachers to carry guns because students feel like that will not help reduce the problem of school shootings. There is no reason teachers should have guns when students could find it and use it in school. When a teacher has a gun in the classroom students, don't feel safe. Parents of students should talk to their child about gun safety to help stop gun violence during school.
“Somebody call 911 and lock down the school! There’s an intruder with a gun, and he’s holding a class at gunpoint!” yells the principal. According to School Guard, the average police response time is 18 minutes, and the average school shooting lasts twelve and a half (“Why SchoolGuard?”). By the time the police arrive, the criminal has vanished but left many students and staff fighting for their lives. Providing the safest environment possible should be a very important aspect to a school, so teachers should be able to defend themselves against a situation like this. Faculty and staff members armed with guns here would have probably been able to solve this problem almost instantly. Teachers with a concealed and carry license should be permitted to carry a gun for many reasons such as students feel more comfortable and safer when guns are around, and it saves time and lives.
If you ask a student from any school if they should force kids to wear clear backpacks to prevent anyone from bringing guns or any type of harmful weapon, they are probably going to say no. If you ask their parents, they are most likely going to agree with the school or district because they are going to want their children or child to be safe in school. Should students wear clear backpacks at school? In my opinion, I think they should because that way at least if you see a gun in someone's backpack you'll be aware and you can call the police.
College is seen as the beginning of young adult life, but campus crime can prevent the continuation of that life.Yet, campuses still prohibit students from carrying essential self defense weapons. This is most likely due to their ignorance of the benefits involved with allowing campus carry. Campus carry improves the overall environment of a college and promotes safety. Students should be allowed to carry guns on campus due to the current lack of protection offered through the university and an individual’s lawful rights, despite the belief that it would cause an escalation in violent crime.
Despite being provided a locker for storage, many students still carry overloaded backpacks because they are not given enough time to use their lockers. As a result, a significant number of students becomes victims of back pain, weak posture, and severe injuries. To exemplify, the American Occupational Therapy Association states, “According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in 2013 nearly 22,200 strains sprains, dislocations, and fractures from backpacks were treated in hospital emergency rooms, physicians’ offices, and clinics.” These injuries are unfortunate effects that result from students carrying unsafe amounts of weight on their backs. Likewise, students feel obligated to carry these heavy bags because many teachers require them to bring their textbooks to class and penalize them for not doing so. Correspondingly, school administrators and teachers should educate parents and students about the potential dangers of carrying a
“Whoa! whose been going through my locker? Where’s my skills homework, wheres my lunch bag?” That’s what kids all over the school are going to be saying when the principal and all the teachers are going through their lockers. Teachers recently agreed to do random locker/book bag checks. What about if they move utensils around. Also the kids will be complaining all over the school. The kids will be complaining to their parents
There is no doubt that the right to conceal and carry a fire arm in general is a complex issue, but when you add in the moral and ethical rights of the CCW permit holder to be able to conceal and carry at work or at school, in the case of teachers, the complexity increases. But, then the legal obligations of the employer to provide a safe work place have to be factored in as well as whether or not conceal and carry at work by employees infringes on the employers moral and ethical rights. The icing on the cake, of course, to a topic that is already loaded with complexity and controversy would be, “Whether or not students should be allowed to carry on campus?”
