2.6 million children are fleeing for their lives in our neighboring countries. These children have nowhere to go. They are cold and hungry, and many unhealthy. Syrian refugee children should be allowed into America. The Syrian refugee children are at risk of becoming ill, malnourished, abused, or exploited because of the Syrian conflict. (worldvision.org) The sanitation they are living in is very poor making diseases more likely to occur. Also the weather is cold outside causing pneumonia and other respiratory infections. Many children have to work hard labor to help support their families, this is often times dangerous jobs requiring very little pay. In Syria, the crisis has destroyed many schools, preventing the children to go to school and learn. 5,000 to 14,000 schools have been destroyed since 2011 and the decline rate for education has become very rapid. (worldvision.org) Here in the US we have many schools around the country giving many kids a future. We should give this chance to these kids as well. Many other countries have opened up schools for these kids, but not enough to hold them all. Opening our schools to them will help the other countries with the crowding issue, and allow more education for the kids. Syria is one of the toughest places in the world for a child to be. (unicefusa.org) 1 in 3 children have been hit, kicked or shot at, and 7,000 innocent children have been killed. (savethechildren.org) Children are the most vulnerable in this crisis, their homes, schools, and families have been destroyed. They are hungry and in need of clean water. If you look at a lot of children in our country, they do not have to suffer as near as much as these children do. All these children want is to be loved and cared for, opening our boarders for them would give the children
