It can be argued that the novel Animal Farm, written by George Orwell, is the most well-known comparison of the Russian Revolution. In Animal Farm, the animals of Manor Farm, inspired by a dream of the pig Old Major, overthrow their master Mr. Jones. Their goal was to be free from the influence of man and to all be equal. However, over time, the hunger for power, jealousy, and conflict get in the way and the farm goes back to the way it was; just this time, pig Napoleon is the ruler. Similar to this, the objective of the Russian Revolution was for the autocratic government to be annihilated and for everyone to be equal.
