After defining robes and tunics, the next step is to look at specific examples. The instance of a robe being described is when Helen is visited by Iris (III.125-28). This passage states that Iris finds Helen “…in the chamber…weaving a great web, / a red folding robe and working into it the numerous struggles / of the Trojans, breaker of horses, and bronze-armored Achaians…” (III.125-28). In this chunk of text, the reader sees Helen in a room with her maidens weaving a robe, an image that can be equated to that of a spider. This passage goes on to say the Achaians and Trojans are fighting this whole war for her sake, which cements the image of a spider weaving her web and catching her prey. Helen, because of Aphrodite, has become a spider that has trapped thousands of people in her web, not just anybody either, people that she has grown to love and care about, and because they are trapped she knows that she, no matter how unintentional it is, is hurting them and causing their deaths.

Leotards are a fundamental clothing item used many sports, mainly dance and gymnastics, which allow the athlete to perform at their peak ability without restrictions. A leotard allows for fluidity of movement and should also be light weight, stretchy, durable, and conform to the athlete's body (1). Upon their first appearances in the sporting community, leotards were manufactured from stretchy wool (1). However their increasing popularity later led to modifications in the choice of material; leotards being made from cotton and spandex (1). Spandex, also known as lyrcra or elastane, is a synthetic fibre which is produced from a long-chain polymer called polyurethane (8). Alternatively, cotton is a natural fibre made from glucose molecules which

Scientists do believe there are new sights of life in other parts of the universe. Ugandan Knuckles Are believed to be living on the planet Uganda and are sending messages through meteorites from their planet. Lead scientist Jimmy Johnson, has shown all prof to this theory of where these strange meteoroids are coming from and they are starting for the expedition to this planet. The journey will be expected to last eighteen months and seven days, so we have to create a shuttle to withstand and hold enough fuel to last the journey.

The article that supports being more child appropriate is “A Spider’s Silky Strength”, by Emily Sohn. The article tells scientific fact in a story tone that makes it easier for a kid to understand. For instance, the “Chinese’s princess discovered” the spider silk, while drinking tea under a mulberry tree. I feel that is a great way to write a sentence to keep it simple and interesting for a younger reader. There is some language that is written that would be hard for a kindergarten to understand, but I think they would be able to learn from this article that Emily wrote. Emily does give simple sentences such as “spiders can spin many kinds of silk”, and are sometimes have different strengths. That illustration makes it interesting for a child,
Most would view society in the present as ideal, livable, and exactly as how it should be; however, the fact of the matter is that society is not perfect. We as humans are civilized in a way no other species are and we are just accustomed to the way life is “run” so to speak. But this is not the way life should be. This is not the way life has to be. Society as a whole is not unified and although we are able to become what is considered successful, there are still flaws in human interaction and development as a race. Transmetropolitan by Warren Ellis is an example of these themes by depicting flaws in society, media, and politics. The graphics in this comic book uses human vs. alien interaction to express rejection of diversity, a false

The volume is 6.254 times 10 km3, which equals 62.54. (planetfacs.org) Neptune is the eighth and farthest planet from the sun in the solar system. What does Neptune look like? Neptune’s’ color is a deep shade of blue. It has five rings that are made of ice particles coated with silicates. It is true that Uranus and Neptune are definitely distinctly more blue than Jupiter and Saturn. They appear to be so because both Uranus and Neptune have an atmosphere that contains Methane. The Methane in the atmosphere will absorb the light and the light reflected back is blue, hence giving the planets a more blue color. Meanwhile, Jupiter and Saturn are both made up of mainly Hydrogen and helium while Uranus and Neptune contain more water (H2O). Neptune and Uranus are also very cold, which I would propose explains that there is much more water on these planets because the water requires cooler temperatures to condense than Hydrogen and Helium. It brought another dimension to the armor. Silk can be dyed, and the significance of color choice played a huge role when identifying families and warriors. Reds and blues were common colors that silk was dyed. Also the need to identify oneself, by name, symbol, or other outrageous identifiers, became popular on battlefield. In times of peace, armor could be expressive and impractical. When not in use Armor was stored in a box. Silk in the sun turns into powder. It is difficult to preserve unless kept in the dark. In most exhibitions people only see the metal, not the silk lining on the
Uranus and Neptune are distinctly bluer than Jupiter and Saturn because of the atmosphere. Uranus and Neptune are blue because the atmosphere contains methane. Methane is a colorless and odorless gas that occurs abundantly in nature. Methane damages our climate when it's released during natural gas production and distribution. Methane absorbs light and the light reflected back is blue.
