In these speeches that both great minds gave there is some things that are alike then there's some differences . Some likes and differences are obvious and others are really hard to figure out. For some who have trouble paying attention, listening to the speeches it’s harder for them and for those who can listen to it over and over again and still understand it , it's easy for them. Then there's those who try to pay attention because they are important to the history of Americans, but just can't pay attention so they are a little of both problems.

I realized so much in these two from their speeches they did,from the way they talk, body language, and how they act around the press. I realized and i always knew that Trump would never make a good president just from speech. I have always liked Obama he did amazing things for us, he changed so many things in the US i am glad he was our president.

The men who were once the President of the United States of America became elected when they were in their forties, fifties, or sixties. George Washington was fifty-seven years old when he became the first president of the United States. Washington was the only president who got all the state representatives to vote for him. He served two terms in office from 1789 to 1797 and was part of the Federalist party. Fast forwarding to 1933 Franklin D. Roosevelt became the 32nd president of America and was part of the democrat party. Roosevelt was fifty-one years old when he was elected president. He served four terms in office from 1933 to 1945. Based from the ratings by historians George Washington and Franklin D. Roosevelt were the great presidents. George Washington and Franklin D. Roosevelt were considered the greatest because Washington effectively formed the United States and lead the United States military to victory and Roosevelt created the New Deal during the Great Depression and gave people hope.

These speeches helped both changes come about helped both changes happened whether it be, African Americans getting their equal or America overcoming the threat of Russia. Due to these similarities and differences between John F. Kennedy’s “Inaugural Address” and Martin Luther Kings Junior’s “I Have a Dream” speech, helped cement them as two as the greatest speeches America has ever heard.

There have been forty four presidents in the United States of America. Of them, President George Washington and President John Adams were the first two. They are widely considered as honored men who set a pace in history for what America is today. Although both are founding fathers of America, they were quite different in their life and in politics.

Washington uses similes, repetition, and metaphors in his speech. An example of a simile would be “urge me, on an occasion like the present.” In this quote Washington is comparing this occasion to the present. An example of repetition would be when Washington says, “of your safety; of your prosperity.” An example of a metaphor would be, “It is justly so, for it is a main pillar in the edifice of your real independence, the support of your tranquility at home, your peace abroad; of your safety; of your prosperity; of that very liberty which you so highly prize.” This quote is comparing independence to liberty. Washington also uses certain phrases to create a patriotic tone. An example of this would be “The name of American...must always exalt the just pride of Patriotism.”

Obama opens his speech with a slogan (refer to footnote 1) and he introduces the audience to the subject by referring to the Emancipation Proclamation with the sentence: “Two hundred and twenty one years ago, in a hall that still stands across the street […]”6, which another famous orator, Martin Luther King, also used for the opening of his legendary speech “I Have a Dream”. Martin Luther King started: “Five score years ago, a great American […]”7, but that’s not the only comparing between the two speeches.

Both of these presidents, former and current, have opinions on what America should be moving towards, to better the country. These presidents have both done their fair share for this country already, though Trump has only been in office for a year, while Obama has been in office for a full term, then was re elected for another. They both, though, like all things, have many similarities and differences, these things are likely affected by their party, and mindset, along with their personality.
