Skateboarding Persuasive Essay

I believe that the school can be improved by making a skate park. I say this because a lots of people will pay to get in a skate park. And it will keep a lot of kids of the streets. As long as you don’t make them pay too much then you will make a killing. And with a skate park and good skaters, you can make a skate team. If the team wins a competition, the team may win lots of money. So you won’t be losing any money. When you do auditions for the team, people will cram into the school. The people you need are people that aren’t scared of trying something new. If you make a skate park, less kids will be in trouble in school. There are lots of good skaters that can be on your team, and I know a lot of them.

Many people argue that competitive sports raise numerous amounts of pressure on the youth making them distracted from things such as their education and because it can cause severe injuries, but some people argue that youth should play competitive sports because it teaches major life lessons that can help with many different aspects of their future such as college, getting a job, and many more. Playing competitive sports also improves your physical strength, another physical aspect of playing competitive sports is decreasing your chance of being obese or having disease. If you don't prefer to play competitive sports there are alternative options such as biking or walking to school. In an HT Health article “Sports Seen As Key Weapon in Fighting Teen Obesity” it says that in a study with 1,700 kids, ten percent walked or biked to school 3 ½ days a week,, in the study they found that biking or walking to school lowered the risk of being obese by 33%. I argue that kids should play competitive sports because of the important life skills taught through these sports and the physical benefit of playing sports. In this paper I will explain how communication, time management, and lowering the risk of being obese; supports my claim, “Kids should play competitive sports”

There are a lot of ways that people use dirt bikes from professional racing to recreation to stunts.

Imagine you are at the beach. You are laying down a towel and setting up an umbrella when something catches your eye. Out in the ocean you see a surfer catching some waves, and it looks so fun and exciting that you almost grab a board and join in. However you don’t know how to surf and would rather not embarrass yourself in front of all these beach goers. Surfing, however, isn’t complicated at all and can be accomplished in these simple steps.

Have you ever been to a dirt track race? If not than I will show you the basics. Dirt track race tracks are clay ovals that are ⅕ mile to ½ mile tracks that have a 10 degree to 20 plus degree banks on turns. You have over 9 divisions to choose from including modified and super late model. An average race will last about 10-20 minutes but can't go past 35 otherwise they stop the race and whoever's leading wins. Usually features are around 20 laps but some specials can go all the way to 100 laps.

A snowboarder knows the prime conditions to ride and will do anything to make sure they are on the mountain ready to go when those conditions arise. A high intensity game that involves physical attributes and cognitive awareness describes the sport lacrosse. People play lacrosse all over the world and the sport continues to grow in size. The sport lacrosse dates all the way back to when Indians would play for land and resources. The word lacrosse translates to “Little Brother of War”. Men and women of all ages and levels play the game lacrosse to this day. At the Eastern Cincinnati Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio, the sport lacrosse qualifies as a club rather than a sport. The sport lacrosse should qualify as a sport because it would reduce costs, more players would join, it offers benefits, and people would consider lacrosse as a more serious sport.

How many times have you driven past your local tennis courts and seen them filled with happy kids running around and smiling? Probably more than once. Tennis is a popular sport, played all over the world and loved by many. However, more people should play this wonderful sport. It can be played at any age, and at any walk of life, be ye teenager or 65 year old lady. In fact, everyone should play tennis due to its development of physical fitness, mental health, and social skills.

Motocross is a fast and evolving sport that is getting a lot of attention these days. It provides exhilarating and non-violent entertainment which hard to find. Although whatever the sport might be, there will always be some unfortunate circumstances, circumstances that can be prevented and reduce by having the right gear.

Dodgeball is definitely a game worth playing no matter what the situation. There are three reasons that I will cover and those are dodgeball is fun to play, dodgeball can let out our physical potential, and dodgeball teaches life skills. These reasons were chosen because of their facts.

I think that the donor should build a ice rink for skating in the community. This would a great oppurtunity because this would give young scholars the chance to learn skate. This would be good because it is something that the town doesn't have.

If paintball wins, I'm gonna purchase the all-day field admission, gun rental, and mask rental for each player. Paintballs and air refills are not included and must be purchased from the field; For Sunol Paintball in Sunol, CA itwould be $35 per person for 500 rounds of paintballs and unlimited air refills. That is the minimum purchase requirement per person. Plus, players between 10-17 yrs. must have a "minor waiver" signed by a parent. NO WAIVER=NO PLAY. I understand that there are a bunch of complaints dealing with the issues of skateboarding in certain areas, and I also understand that when trying to figure out how to fix the problem the easiest is punishment. But, honestly skateboarding is a free right, singling out a certain group of people is unconstitutional and goes against the peoples free will. The city should not pass a ban on skateboards. Within skateboarding brings diversity to the city, and make it a very boring place.

The wheels of the board grind across the asphalt pavement, carrying its rider across the parking lot. His loose clothes rustle in the breeze, and his hair flies around his face until he puts on his baseball cap to control it. In one fluid movement, he pushes on the back of his board, curls his front foot, and leaps into the air. But the board seems to have a mind of its own and tangles itself in his feet. SMACK!!
