When you walk into the fair from the entrance you can see the dirt in the air. The smell of the popcorn is like a peaceful smell. The sound of tractors is loud and it kind of sounds like a buzzing bee. The feel of the dust on my face makes me feel sticky. Also, the taste of my walking taco is delicious every bite. I had to throw the football into 3 hoops and I missed. I was mad because if I got all 3 footballs in the 3 hoops I would’ve got a football jersey! We live in a small gold rush town in the foothills of California. Growing up in a traditional gold rush community you will see pride and happiness in everyone’s face. It’s an outgoing community that makes everyone feel welcomed. I have made sure to raise my family in a small town to ensure they experience the lifestyle that comes from being a part of a community.

On the lower Mississippi River on March 19, 1968 around 0340 the SS African collided with the Midwest Cities, a towing vessel, which was transporting two tank barges. The front barge was the Intercity no. 14 and the rear was the Intercity no. 11. Intercity no. 11 was loaded with 19,000 barrels of crude oil. The crude oil’s combustible vapors escaped during the collision and led to a serious shipboard fire on the SS African Star.

African Americans did struggle for racial inequality, conflicts and ethnic tensions throughout the civil rights movement. The challenge for geographic location was known for the south to have different laws than the north. This made for differences in racial justice and discrimination that was legalized by the Supreme Court. Many programs and groups were put in place depending on the geographic location causing upheaval, tension and violence. After reading the chapter, Rukaya, was geographic location also the real cause for desegregation to why poverty existed? Geographic locations had different reforms, approaches, laws and racial inequality pertaining to people of color and discrimination. No wonder why violence, conflicts, poverty,

County governments are so often overlooked. The people spend the majority of their governmental association time with the federal government, only paying attention to what it is the president is up to lately or which laws the legislative branch is trying to push out now. County officials are very much deserving of attention as well. After all, these people are the ones that are dealing with the problems that are so close to home.

Despite how it may sound, Gatesville is considered one of the safest places to raise children, which I imagine is why my parents chose to raise me here.

Today, I am going to convince you why Williston is a wonderful place to live. First of all, this little town is found in the Northern part of the country in the state of North Dakota. We are on the western side of the state, right next to the Missouri River and Lake Sakakawea. Don’t be surprised if the name of the town sounds familiar, we were known nationwide as Boomtown, USA. Williston is a very culturally diverse town. You find everything from your city slickers, to your hipsters, to your farmers and rednecks. In addition to that, we are also very rich in Native American history. We have an large, old military fort called Fort Buford and a very famous trading post called Fort Union. Fort Buford is also the place where Sitting Bull surrendered.

Ghost towns always have significant history behind each and every town that was ever abandoned. What’s a ghost town? A ghost town is an abandoned town with a few to no remains from someone who was there. Reasons on why towns were abandoned during the gold rush was  because either people got to the place quick enough to steal the gold or there was no gold to be found in the first place. One of the more popular ghost towns during the gold rush was the Coloma.

One of the reasons I enjoy this small town and will be in this small town until I graduate is almost all my friends live in this small town. I eventually plan on moving on from this small town to bigger town that offers more opportunities for decent jobs considering Morenci only has a few places to get jobs and there is usually already enough people working at those jobs, and the jobs don’t always pay the best.

County governments are considered local governments within the state. The board of commissioners is the head of a county. Each commissioner is elected by the town and is permitted for four years of service. So, why are county governments so important to me? County governments do so much for us every day; For example, they provide jobs, oversee health care services, and maintain roads.

All in all I wouldn’t want to grow up in any other community other than this one. No other place would feel as much like home as any other one would. I just cant say enough about this wonderful and caring community. They provide so much love and care and I couldn’t have made it this far without them. The teachers here care so much for their students but sometimes don’t always understand quite what we go through when some of us have homework and have a job at the same time after

The main goal of the protagonist (Quentin) is to find his childhood best friend, Margo after she “goes missing”. However, Quentin hasn’t spoken to Margo in over nine years, until she shows up at his window for the first time since they were kids. Margo takes him on a crazy adventure, but little did Quentin know that she was going to leave after that. He ends up being the last person to see her, so he feels like it is his obligation to find her. Margo loved leaving clues, so when quentin starts finding “clues” around her house and the town, he starts to believe that the clues were left for him. Quentin even said it himself, “i don’t know who she is anymore or who she was, but i need to find her”(pg.141) this shows how determined he was to find her, despite how much he even knows about her.
