Social Media Causes More Harm than Good Human exposure to different forms of media, especially social media has been linked to causing certain psychological conditions. However, there is a research gap in most of these studies as very few cases are in place to examine the association that exists between media exposure and the significant impact that it causes which is depression. It is explained that there is a huge link between the development of depression in children, adolescences and the youths and exposure to different forms of media. Media is in various ways, and the way that causes much depression is social media. The mechanism of exposure of will determine the level of depression. In understanding this, the following is a research paper that is going to study the psychological effects of social media on teens. It is irrefutable to postulate that social media causes more harm than good The reason why I am standing with the opinion that social media causes more harm than good is that being connected to social media throughout the day and the night can be stressful. Interacting with people on social media for an extended period can be tiring and stressful when one has to keep on answering people online. When an individual tries to catch up with the pressure he or she gets from social media he or she will become stressed because of the standards that are set on social media.
