Socrates : The Unxamined Life Is Not Worth Living

Socrates was born (469-399 B.C.E) in Athens, Greece. By today if anyone has heard or learn about philosophy, we acknowledge his life through the writing from his student Plato. Socrates was so interested in his philosophizing that he would engage in anyone in a conversation about "higher thing". His Wife Often gets annoying because it turns simple trips to the store longer. Socrates is accused of corrupting the youth, introduced new divinities on his own and also does not believe in God when he was put on trial. During his time in the trial, he stated that, “the unexamined life is not worth living” the quote which many people still considered to be an unanswer question. At this point, why does Socrates still believe the examined life is more meaningful than the unexamined life even when being sentenced to death. In my opinion, I agree with Socrates theory because there is a meaning to my life and with today generation everyone has their path of life and is up to them to choose rather to examine it or follow the path being pass down from their ancestor. First, I agree with Socrates when he said "the unexamined life is not worth the living," the meaning behind this quote only want you to ask yourself, what makes you the way that you are now in the present and not just someone who see things as the way they are. In fact, growing up in a traditional Vietnamese family I was always taught to listen to grow up when they give me advice in life, without any life experience I pretty much believe in everything they tell as if it was a proven fact. For a fact, when I was six or seven years old my uncle would say that when I eat chicken legs, I have to eat both legs and not just one, I would often ask why unit he finally said that I could get arthritis if I don't eat both legs, for years when I eat chicken legs I would finish both. When I turn thirteen, I decided to question that fact and experience that my self when I decided to eat only one chicken leg and share the other one with my friend, I am now twenty years old and nothing like that ever happens. Furthermore, this experience helps me understand a little on what I should believe and not believe. So, I think back to when I was nine years old, and during this time I
