Labels always get the attention of people there are always selected words so it would persuade people to buy it. The word “diet” is among these labels but they don’t really lie they just don’t tell the whole truth what the word diet does is get people to think that it is the drink they need because they love to drink soda. They have even come up with other kinds of soda for example Coca-Cola who makes a lot of the drinks we know came up with soda like Coca-cola zero, life, and light and they either have no calories, fewer calories or they actually use cane sugar. Yes, diet soda has no or fewer calories than a regular soda does but water has way more less calories then diet soda. People drink soda because it is sweet and cheap and with diet soda they drink a lot of it that they might as well settle with drinking a regular soda at least better than a diet soda that is much worse than you can imagine. Diet soda still has sugar or corn syrup to sweeten the soda and it doesn’t matter with one is in the soda because they are both unhealthy and soda companies will just comply to stop your complaining they are not really improving the drink just putting your mind to ease about what is in the soda they sell. “Regular and Diet Coke have the same ingredients save for the type of sweeteners used in their production. This difference came about as the result of the demand for a soft drink that is less fattening and which can be consumed by people with diabetes.” (DifferenceBetween). Online there was this video that some people made in Japan and they were asking if people would buy Diet water and everyone who were asked just flat out said no. It seems like that is not a big deal because it is just soda and every business wants to flourish it is how most business owners feel. Small businesses are able to get away with much because of the lack of power so they can barely make a commercial with big businesses like Coca-Cola they can afford a team to make ads and they can afford any kind of teams to help them out if it will help their profits.
