Mercenaries are most of the time viewed as villains. The mercenary's primary motive is to complete their mission and obtain the reward of money. Many of these mercenaries value a specific “code of honor”, and some are just in it for the money. From the video game series Metal Gear Solid, a United States Government project called Les Enfants Terribles attempted to create a clone of the world’s most famous soldiers Big Boss. This clone’s name was David Hayter, also known as Solid Snake, who is regarded as one of the greatest mercenaries in video game history. He holds an IQ of 180, and fluently speaks English, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, German, and French. Snake then would become a part of FOXHOUND, which was a special forces unit commanded …show more content…
He went on endless assignments to serve his country as a soldier that seemed impossible, but was always referred to as “the Man Who Makes the Impossible Possible”. Seeking out a mission to destroy Metal Gear, given to him by Big Boss, Snake would always follow through. When Big Boss told him to abort the operation, Snake continued, knowing how important it was to destroy the Metal Gear. Even towards the end of his life he was still relentless. Solid Snake’s aging was much more rapid than normal humans considering he was a clone, but this did not stop him. During his last obligation, he was still able to defeat Liquid Ocelot. Numerous people do not seem to realize, even though Solid Snake was the protagonist, was that he was a villain. In Metal Gear 1 his main objective was to go to Outer Heaven and defeat Big Boss. Big Boss is perceived as a huge target for the Patriots, being claimed as evil. As the series progresses, it shows that Big Boss’ only intentions were to build a government for his own nation separated from the world's governments. Another example would be from Metal Gear Solid 4, where Snake seeks out to kill Ocelot. Snake succeeds in doing so, but it is revealed that Ocelot was a good guy the whole time. His intentions were to bring down the
Copperhead snakes who are female can reproduce asexually as well as sexually. I think that reproducing asexually is best for the species. Asexual reproduction is when one parent creates an offspring from themselves. There is no mating or mixing of genetics. Generally, there is no variation from generation to generation in population. Sexual reproduction is when two parents, a male and a female, create an offspring through sexual reproduction. While producing sexually would mean that they have different DNA from their parents and therefore wouldn’t have any diseases or hereditary issues passed down I still think asexually is more favorable for the copperhead snakes. Copperhead snakes are targeted because they can pose a threat to humans and therefore could very likely have their
The song “Black Snakes” by A Tribe called Red and Prolific the Rappers explains to the world that the citizens need to stand up and protest to protect the water between North Dakota to Patoka, Illinois. Prolific the Rappers tell the audience that enough is enough with the companies trying to make a pipeline to collect oil. Prolific the Rappers stated in his line, “A black snake with some black tanks (ugh), how much money do these companies need to make? They could drive their product, but they want to save a buck. Already extracted billions when is enough’s enough.”. He raps this lyric to send a message about the Dakota Access pipeline is only letting the company get rich from the oil and they do not care about what the effect will happen
Many people have “pet rocks,” however a rock is not alive. It is easy to care for, since it does nothing, requires no food, attention, or really anything. The pet rock was marketed as a sense of humor in a box in 1975. “No messes, no allergies, just pure simple solidarity.” A rock in a box, on a bed of hay (Good, 2015). A chia pet is similar to a pet rock, since it requires little attention, but it is a plant, a living organism.
The python’s intestines thicken, their insulin levels shoot up, liver and kidneys double in size, they have a 6-degree temp increase, their metabolism jumps 8-fold, and their pulse quickens as they digest.
The organization found within the passage of “The Rattler” illustrates to the reader how the once calm mood turns into one of hostility. At the beginning of the second paragraph, the reader notices how at first the snake’s body lay “undulant”. This moment shows although the snake is capable of attack, it has no intentions to harm the narrator. The mood seems to remain calm until not the snake, but the man, “dragged him out of it with his back broken.” This action exemplifies the mood only becomes hostile when the man initiates attack. Towards the end, the reader can see regret from the man of the “nasty sight”. Respect can be found for both characters as they are both trying to protect something dear to them – the man his fellow members of
In the article "The snake that is eating Florida" written by Lauren Tarshis, it states that,"The Burmese python is not a specie naturally found in the everglades."How did it get here. A hurricane hit Florida in the 1990's and wreaked a reptile war house which had baby Burmese pythons in it. The wind in the hurricane was blowing to the west, strait to Miami/everglades. That's how the Burmese python got to the everglades, and then they became invasive.
Once the snakes are caught, they go through a few different processes. First, they have their venom removed from
The Diadophis punctatus, or more commonly known as the ring-neck snake, is a harmless nocturnal snake that lives throughout the eastern and central part of North America. In Idaho, ring-neck snakes can be found at the west and south-east part of the state.
The Western Diamondback Rattlesnake and humans have quite a history together, and it isn't a pretty one. In the United States, this rattlesnake is responsible for around four or five fatalities each year.
¨Primarily a snake of high desert or lower mountain slopes, it is often found near a
Conservation Efforts: Northern Pacific Rattlesnakes is as a least concerned species but among human settlements their habitats are being damaged. Northern Pacific Rattlesnake populations are being impacted by agricultural expansion, habitat destruction, entertainment purposes, hide trading and road construction. Vehicle collision is the most common way for Northern Pacific Rattlesnake to be killed.
The Northern Snakehead, Channa argus, is a freshwater fish species native throughout eastern Asia but can be found worldwide due to incidental and purposeful introductions. In the United States there are many reports of several species of snakeheads that have been sold through aquarium trade in pet stores and purchased from live food fish trade (Maryland DNR, 2003). There are a total of four species of snakeheads that have been introduced in the United States: Northern snakehead (Channa argus), blotched snakehead (C. maculata), bullseye snakehead (C. marulius), and the giant snakehead (C. miicropeltes) and have though to been introduced through intentional releases from pet stores or accidental releases from the live fish trade (Maryland DNR,

Cobras are very cool creatures in many ways. In the Jungle Book the cobras are in the trap with Mowgli and they say ''Stand still little brother, lest thy feet do us harm.
Imagine you are at the bottom of the ocean, and there are hydrothermal vents ejecting hot lava. Adding to your misery, there are huge amounts of hydrogen sulfide gas everywhere that are poisonous to your body. In reality, this is the giant tube worm’s ecosystem. Ecosystems are all of the living things (plants/animals) and the non-living things that live in a specific area and interact with each other. Ecosystems can be of any size. In an ecosystem, there are biotic and abiotic components that are all linked. The pelagic zone or “open ocean zone”, where the giant tube worm, an underwater animal that lives near hydrothermal vents, lives is located next to the continental slope/drop off. The water is much deeper here. At the surface, there is
