The four remaining members of the Spice Girls are reportedly meeting with top concert promoters and agents to get the ball rolling. John Giddings, organizer of the revived Isle of Wight Festival, is among the promoters on the short list to put together a potential Spice Girls 20th anniversary tour.
"For a long time they put off the idea of working any projects without her because they wanted to stay as a five-piece, but with the 20th anniversary coming up they realized it was a case of now or never."

Their 2007 reunion tour earned the band an estimated $107.5 million in ticket sales and merchandise. While none of the members are broke, Victoria Beckham's estimated $300 million net worth means that she doesn't need to tour to stay afloat. That coupled with the band's well received appearance at the 2012 Olympics in Lodon, might make Victoria Beckham reluctant to risk the band overstaying their welcome with a reunion tour.
The Spice Girls At the height of the Spice Girl's fame, the Spice Girls sold 85 million records and starred in a movie inspired by their lives, Spice World. Their skimpy clothes, outlandish antics, and sometimes racy lyrics ushered in an era of pop music dominated by girl groups that continues today with artists like Beyonce and Taylor Swift. Their female positive message, summarized in the slogan "girl power," became a rallying cry for teenage girls and young women in the late 90s.

At the peak of Bikini Kill’s success the group split up. Hanna says, “ You know we all gotten into like weird roles in who we were in that band and it was kinda just impossible to get out of them.” I feel like Hanna should have elaborated more on the weird roles she had mentioned. I am curious to know why each member fell into a certain role and why they did not settle their differences. I thought everybody would be on the same page since they were receiving positive vibes from their ever growing fans. Their band was changing many females lives at the time, the national attention Bikini Kill was getting was astronomical. Who knows what would have happened if Bikini Kill was still a band today. I feel like viewers were left with unanswered questions regarding to the break up of Bikini Kill. A little more detail on the break up with have satisfied the
Also, what is the March revival dates? Doris and I are planning Heather Shields baby shower, but didn't want it to be too close to revival time. I was told they were already members so I mentioned it to her asking which she would prefer the box or shower and later found out they weren't so I hope that's still ok to do them a shower.

“They were moving too fast,” the source said to Us Weekly. “They had a fight about how much time they had been spending together but they’ll be back. This is a relationship in the fast lane. It all moves fast, so the breakups are dramatic too, like the relationship. They could be back together whenever, it’s so dramatic.”

If you've never heard of Little Mix then you must be living under a rock. The former winners of X-Factor have been working hard to make a name for themselves as a successful girl group in the music industry. Here are the top eight things you never knew about these peppy, talented teen singers.
Charlotte Church speaks out about this issue saying “The culture of demeaning women in pop music is so ingrained as to become routine, from the way we are dealt with by management and labels, to the way we are presented the public” (Chase par. 9). This leads to questions, for example, must women be sexualized to gain greater earnings? Does sex truly sell? When we examine artists such as Julia Hotter, HAIM, or Polica, we perceive them as strong artists who are unrestricted in their art by their gender or sexuality. However, when comparing their success, sexualized women have dominated the music industry. Chase explains that women are allowed to fill three main roles in modern pop music: One of the Girls’ Girls, the Victim/ Torch Singer, and Unattainable Sexbot. Artists such as Beyoncé would be considered “One of the Girls’ Girls” who are for women power and are considered empowering. Adele is considered a “Victim/Torch Singer” even though she does not use sexuality to sell records, lyrically, she perceives the wronged women and creates a state of despair. An “Unattainable Sexbot” would be, without a doubt, Miley Cyrus, whose main goal is to be the most successful in the music industry by being hyper-sexualized and unrealistic. If an artist does not fit into one of these categories, they generally have a much harder time being one of the most successful in the music
