I believe an outstanding Mount Carmel ambassador should be outgoing, confident, open-minded, friendly, helpful, dependable, compassionate, approachable, rooted in faith and proud. I am involved in Book Club, Chess Club, Christian Life Community, MCCADD, and I was manager for the Junior Varsity Volleyball Team. I will tryout for the volleyball team for the upcoming school year. I know that I can offer my outgoing personality, and my confidence to talk to people that I have never met before. My pride for Mount Carmel, that I have found in my one year here, will help me to convey my love that I have for this school. I transferred in as a new sophomore, and I could not be happier with my decision. My only regret is that I will not have more time …show more content…
The “Spirit of Carmel” is the love students have for one another. Mount Carmel is a sisterhood, and its spirit is infectious. Once being here, I could not help loving my classmates and feeling the urge to cheer. It is an amazing feeling to feel a part of something, and Mount Carmel makes me feel like I have a home away from home. I can only hope that it can be that for new students. I hope that spend-a-days can see this spirit and sisterhood on their one day visit. I loved having a spend-the-day because I got to show the young girl the wondrous things I experience everyday at Mount Carmel. Spend-the-days are a great way for the young girls to participate in what going to Mount Carmel is actually like. They get to experience the classes, friendships, and teachers. These things are extremely important to being happy in high school. I partook in this year’s open house, and I really enjoyed it. I was a tour guide at Open House. It was such an amazing experience. I got to meet some really nice parents and girls. I can only hope my tour helped the girls in their decision because I did not make the right decision when I picked a high
Families and friends welcome to Montgomery Village Middle School 8th grade promotional ceremony. Today we embark on a new chapter of our lives as we end our middle school careers. We’ve spent the past three years of our lives in this wonderful place. We were given the opportunity to grow and learn. Our teachers, one of our biggest supporters, the ones we have built relationships with. Our teachers have seen us grow. They have been our guiding hands throughout our middle school career. The teachers in this school deserve the world. They motivate us each and every one of us each day. Most of us were able to mature throughout middle careers. We’ve grown aware of our surroundings. We’re all well aware of what’s to come as we open the next chapter
My time at Mary Queen of Peace has been unforgettable. I have grown in knowledge, faith, and have grown strong relationships with friends and teachers. Through our class field trips, class bonding experiences, retreats, athletics, and recess I have learned the many virtues that need to be in place for a successful day. We as an Eighth Grade class have shared many memories that I will never forget. Each day we faced a new challenge and we would again and again overcome the obstacles. I have made friends for life here and will miss seeing them every day.
The contributions that I will bring to West Chester University all have to do with the ideals by which I live. First of all, I have been told that I have a friendly and inclusive nature. I am a very driven and motivated individual who derives much satisfaction out of leading and helping others. I feel these qualities contribute when I participate in the various activities and community services which are a part of my life. As part of the executive board of the Health Activism and Awareness Club we have been able to successfully raise attention to various life-threatening diseases. My nature and drive allowed me to recruit over one hundred volunteers for the club’s annual 5K to raise awareness towards different charitable organizations such
Throughout my school years, I have always tried to be a positive role model for younger students as well as my peers. This year I decided that the best way to serve my school was to participate in our school’s Student Leadership Council. It has proven to be a fantastic decision for me. I succeeded in getting the most votes out of all of the candidates and have had a great experience taking a leadership role in my school. I feel like I have become a much better leader and role model because of Student Leadership Council. I have been really fortunate to be exposed to the Jeter’s Leaders program, since they come to our school to mentor us as SLC members. It has been an incredible experience, and I would really love to continue with it. As an eighth grader at Saint Augustine, we are required to mentor our younger students. I
Though I haven’t had the most involvement in extracurricular activities, I have been trying to turn that around. I joined FCCLA at the start of freshman year. FCCLA was an excellent experience to improve my leadership skills, as well as getting engaged with the school and community. This ranged from helping out with school activities, to collecting and organizing books to be donated to children, and crafting dog beds to donate to the Cedar Valley Humane Society. I ended up not resigning up for FCCLA the following year due to my dealing with a difficult death in my family. However, since then I have gotten stronger and want to expand my community involvement. For that reason, I joined Student Council after the end of my junior year. As a representative, I help in school activities and decision-making. Though I’m a newer member, I’m excited to be a part of the Student Council. I have also recently joined the Science National Honor Society. I was able to join this club because of my accomplishments in science. I doubled up biology and chemistry my sophomore year, challenged myself by taking AP Chemistry my junior year, and am currently enrolled in the Pharmacology Technician program at Kirkwood as a senior. I am eager to see guest speakers and have already signed up for a couple of community service activities in this
I want to be an ambassador to help our school with gaining new students for Veterans Tribute. Along with helping future students get used to the school to help them with their decision of enrolling into our school or not and to help them become comfortable to VTCTA. Above all, I want to reresent the school by going to different schools and talking to students, and by showing how school life is
Senior Sela Davis decided to go on this trip because she knew this would have a bigger impact on her than going on another vacation. This experience was more than she expected it to be,
Carolina Flores has had an extraordinary experience at Casco Bay High School. She had a passionate smile as she said, “I would redo my four years here again.” Her journey before a CBHS was different. Her 8th grade year everyone kept telling her only weird go to CBHS or it's a hard school. But her mother didn't wanted her to go to Deering High school because her older sister had a horrible experience at DHS. “My older sister didn't want me to same experience as she did in high school,” Carolina said. But right now she is so grateful and thankful for mother forcing her to go Casco. She learned how to come out of her comfort zone, for example, her biggest millstone was being a dj at her 10th grade year for the Halloween dance.
Today is the first day that I set foot into Central High School, one of the most prestigious high schools in Philadelphia. The blood rushes through my veins as I allow that fact to sink in. I climb up the steep hill, focused solely on trying to make my way to the deep red doors as other students, one by one, join their respective social groups.
Shayla: We’ve learned multiple life lessons at the retreats and field trips that we’ve taken at our time here like the county fair. We don’t want to spoil it for the younger classes, but at Chewelah Peak we learned how to work as a team and how to be responsible. The food was to die for and we had an enjoyable time doing all the activities. When we go on retreats,
Becoming a part of the student body at my high school, Middletown South, gave me many academic opportunities, a few examples being AP art history, AP psychology, college level english classes, and many more. The sense of community led to my great appreciation of Middletown. Football games are a rite of passage when going to high school, and I am so glad I got to experience those events. Also, joining of my school’s choir and field team made me immensely grateful for the camaraderie everyone takes part of, in and out of school. Living in Middletown and attending Middletown South has not only given me great joy, but a new perspective on life. As far as I was concerned, I believed my entire life would be spent in New York, and would never know anything else. Instead, I had the chance to branch out and live an unfamiliar lifestyle. The ability to pick and choose from such a wide range of courses and activities to participate in seemed to be something exclusive to suburbs only. If I had stayed in New York, I do not believe I would be the person I am today. There is such a widespread selection of topics, and I found myself falling in love with all of them once the move
I had been a camper at Camp Fatima in the small town of Gilmanton Iron Works, New Hampshire since I was 7. Camp Fatima is a place that allows children ages 5-15 participate in a multitude of activities that they would never be able to try back in their own hometowns. For example, the camp offers rock climbing, tubing, ultimate Frisbee, and another other sport/game that you could possibly think of. However, the most important part of this camp is its ability to develop lasting and meaningful friendships between the even most different campers. As I grew up,
“ Being an Ambassador is exciting for me.” Davenport stated. “. I feel honored to be a part of this group and experience the great things that are happening in Jackson. I am proud to be an Ambassador and wear my red coat with pride.
I will always remember the competition of color day, the wonderful staff, meeting for worship, service days, and so much more. I’m so grateful for the amazing opportunities Penn Charter provides me and many other students. Color day is such a great experience I get to participate in each years because it’s just a fun day at the end of the year where you get encourage other grades and build teamwork within your class mates. The staff and faculty members really form us students and build our characters. One thing that I will definitely miss as my middle school years are coming to end are all the wonderful teachers I’ve gotten to work with. All of them have helped me not just with schoolwork, but they’ve allowed me to have an easy transition to Penn Charter and other issues that I’ve had come up in my life. They are all very supportive and want you to be successful as possible. Meeting for Worship is an experience that you don’t get to have in a lot of schools, and I really enjoy that time to myself. I get to think about life and just relax from school for 45 mins. It also allows us to understand deep thinking and builds patience. Service days are always one of my favorite days of the school year because we get the chance to go with our classmates and just give back to the community. It’s such a character influencing experience that we get to have through all our years at PC. Penn Charter
I am a confident and respectful individual whom approaches life in a very enthusiastic and optimistic manner. I know I can give my time and service to the program in any beneficial way. I have traveled and connected with individuals from diverse backgrounds. I have ventured out and personally aided individuals from all parts of the United States from places such as North Carolina, Florida, New York, Texas, California, Arizona, and countries in Africa whether it be food and clothing donations or one-on-one volunteer interaction. I am typically willing to support my community by any means necessary. Whether it be that I wake up early to feed those less fortunate or it be that I mentor adolescences to further their academic careers. I know I can bring an encouraging and
