SSG Espinoza's extensive technical and tactical knowledge was vital to the execution of the movement plan, during the relocation of 90k cases of water from building 550 to Zone 7. Collectively, his team adhered to the execution milestones and flawlessly managed external competing requirements without compromising the integrity of the operation. In 2003, Luis Alberto Jimenez, an undocumented and uninsured immigrant, was involved in a car accident where he sustained traumatic brain injuries with an intoxicated Floridian driver. After the accident, he was hospitalized at Martin Memorial Medical center, a private community hospital in Stuart, Florida. Because Jimenez required ongoing care without medical insurance, Martin Memorial was not able to find a rehabilitation facility willing to accept him. Instead, Jimenez remained as a patient of the hospital for many years inducing more than $1.5 million in costs. Of the $1.5 million, Martin Memorial only received $80,000 from Medicaid for the emergency services provided to Jimenez and absorbed the remaining costs associated with his care directly into their budget. Faced with the option of continuing Jimenez's medical needs and the financial costs borne of this care or deporting him from the state, Martin Memorial secured a state court order to authorize the transport of Jimenez to a medical center in Guatemala. Under this court order, which was later deemed invalid upon court issue, the hospital leased an air ambulance at its expense and forcibly transported Jimenez back to Guatemala. This murky legal and ethical dilemma drew public attention

In the Spring of 1984, May 23rd, felling like San Antonio v. Rodriguez was an unacceptable decision, the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund filed a suit against William Kirby, the commissioner of education, in behalf of the Edgewood Independent School District. After being release for the newly discovered evidence provided by Matias Reyes, the perpetrator who actually committed the crime, the convictions against the five young men were overturned. In 2003, they sued the city of New York for $250 million dollars for malicious prosecution and racial discrimination. They sued again in 2014 for $52 million. The settlement averaged to about $1 million for each year of imprisonment for the men. However, no amount a money can regain what these men lost during their years of imprisonment. The rights and liberties in the Constitution have been incorporated against the states. This means that individuals are protected from all their governments taking away their liberties. It has taken a long time to get where
This raid is key, one of the military intelligence officers reports “Crucial information has been gained following this successul operation. The operation will give us vital experience following the deployment of a large number of our troops, and trasportation of artillery devices.”
After the venting session was complete, Colonel Cord moved the meeting forward to the situation of Colonel MacKenzie and the two men were surprised about the amount of support and respect they garnered among the special operations community. First, on the agenda, Colonel Cord covered the promotion list and described in detail Jackson’s arrest and subsequent flight home that almost killed him. These incidents shocked the officers, and they wondered how someone could get away with denying a wounded man medical treatment. Due to their knowledge of classified special operation missions and how they were carried out, none of the officers present accepted the army’s fabrication of lies because it didn’t fit with Jackson’s record of service and after
Not far from our small town of Lock Haven, Pennsylvania, a recent trial took place at all three levels of the court system. From December 1, 2014 until June 1, 2015, John P. Elwood represented Anthony Elonis, the petitioner, while Michael R. Dreeben defended the United States. The background of the case is just as important as the trial itself. After going through a divorce, Elonis turned to social media to express his ager and rage. Elonis posted threatening remarks wishing to seriously harmhis wife, friends, coworkers, and an FBI agent, as well as preform a school shooting in a kindergarten class. Elonis stated that his posts were lyrics to self-written rap songs.
Human development is a continuous process of maturing. When one examines the photographs of how they were when they were children and compare it to how they are now, they will notice many differences such as height and weight among others. There have been many studies focused on describing the human development and specifically human behavior in a social environment. The studies show that there are many factors that affect human development including biological, environmental, cultural and psychological factors. Throughout an individual's life, environmental factors influence their natural
Enemy combatants, in familiar terrain, chose to stand and fight from fortified positions; forcing commanders to improvise and adapt quickly to unforeseen circumstances. Support elements received the operational order within just one week of the expected execution date. Staff elements created analysis and plans on poor intelligence estimates and recent experience. Strategic planners also failed to establish command and control of the assault force. Lack of forethought for an integrated joint operation, although ultimately successful, led to the death of U.S. service members. Joint planning for Operation Anaconda, with its complex variables requiring integrated skills, failed to account for enemy variables, withheld information from support elements, and failed to establish effective command and control.

SNC’s five paragraph order was delivered meek tone which lacked authority and command presence; SNC appeared aloof and distant throughout the brief. SNC’s Situation paragraph included fabricated information contrary to what the evaluator briefed; these omissions caused the squad to not understand the mission. SNC briefed specific, relevant tasks but failed to brief any coordinating instructions beyond “attack begins immediately after this order.” SNC briefed Admin and Logistics as “unchanged since the last order.” SNC’s brief was punctuated with filler words. SNC departed towards the objective without the ammo cans required to complete the mission. During movement to the objective, dispersion was poor; at most times 5 candidates were
SNC’s five paragraph order contained most of the information briefed by the evaluator with the exception of coordinating instructions; SNC failed to brief the restricted areas. SNC addressed friendly units as it pertained to the actual problem and the enemy’s course of action, using the DRAW-D acronym, during the Situation paragraph. SNC briefed the order in a confident, clear, and authoritative manner. SNC made timely decisions and adjustments which facilitated momentum and maintained focus on mission accomplishment. SNC displayed attributes of a fighter-leader and positioned himself in a manner which was conducive to supervising and directing his team from the front. While SNC addressed security, at one point SNC burdened a subordinate
This case discusses Cross-Border valuation of projects. This kind of analysis is common for companies that are operating in many countries. Groupe Ariel is one such company that is considering investing in a project in its own subsidiary in Mexico. The company manufactures and sells printers, copiers and other document production equipment in many countries.
