After conducting researches on both Principal Financial Group and New York Life Insurance Company, I would be more likely to choose to work at Principal Financial Group. Both companies have strong background. Also, the products (insurance, investment, retirement solution) and services they provide for their customer are almost similar. Two companies, Principal and New York Life help individuals to create a plan that is the best fit for each person and design to be achievable and effective. The goal of the internship was to complete a 150 hours and provide a weekly summary of activities. In order to get the internship I had to do a phone screening with Mary Doe. She is the administrative assistant to Commander John Doe. Who is the Assistant Associate Director of Facility Support and also the internship supervisor for the SIU Health Care Management students at FHCC. I meet with CDR John Doe for a brief interview. We went over my goals and what I hope to gain by interning at FHCC. I felt interning at FHCC would be a natural transition because CDR Wallis has a background in Healthcare Administration.

I'm doing great; I am very excited that it's the second half of the year. The exam period of the first semester went well. As I mentioned in my previous letter, the studies enriches and empower me, and I am happy for that. There are quite a few challenges during the course of the degree, but there isn't an obstacle one cannot overcome, by providing me this sponsorship you are helping and encouraging me. As a natural born resident of the City of Long Branch, I personally have gone to admire and appreciate the level of professionalism in our police officers in which govern our community. I have ultimately come to understand this high standard of professionalism and leadership has been properly groomed over generations. Thus, in my closing year at Saint Peter’s University in a concentration of criminal justice, I have taken significant interest in applying directly to Long Branch Police Department.

I started my internship at Cook Children Healthcare System in January 2016. I selected mental health as an area of focus on which I wanted to work. Initially the learning goal was to study Community-wide Children 's Health Assessment & Planning Survey (CCHAPS) data well and look for factors causing mental health problems in six North Texas Counties. Initial task was to study as much literature as possible to get an idea what factors are causing mental health problems in children. After studying literature and CCHAPS survey data I discussed the goals and objectives of my research with supervisor Dr Jackie Meeks. I decided to work on the relation between not breastfeeding during early infancy and the development of mental health problems. I included known covariates like gender, bullying, age of the child, marital status of the parent, alcohol exposure during pregnancy, tobacco exposure during pregnancy and annual household income which are known to cause mental health problems in children. I was introduced to Mackenzie and Sheryl who are data analysts and know CCHAPS survey thoroughly. Entire Cook Children staff was very helpful and friendly. Experience at Cook Children was great in terms of learning and getting real world experience. I could not have asked for a better internship site than Cook Children. This paper will cover the advocation of access to services to my clients throughout my internship at the Family Resource Center; specifically in the Child Advocacy department.
