Given the question of who I aspire to be professionally in ten years, I start to think about my possible career options. Right now I am learning about computer networking, but I am leaning more towards the security side of the computer world with this I realize that I can have a career in both networking and security. Three years ago I was thinking about my future and realized that I needed to change my major from the Medical Administrative Assistant program I had started in because I quickly realized that this career was not going to be for me and allow me to live up to my potential so, I decided to switch my major to networking to get an education about computers, which I enjoy a lot and feel more comfortable with as well as eager to be
Jessica was very knowledgeable about her agency or hospital. She may have not remember her agency’s mission statement from work from word, but who can. However, she was able to pinpoint the importance of the mission statement, which was kindness. She understands what her role in the hospital and was able to provide how the hospital runs. For example, the hospital is a smaller hospital in an more urban area and she can only provide so much services for the client and the rest she has to refer her clients to bigger hospital or to other agency for treatment and resources. She knows that the majority of the people seeking treatment at the hospital are people who have Medicaid or Medi-cal so she needs to keep up with policies regarding their healthcare provider. Overall she knows what her agency mission and goals are, she understands who her clients are and she has knowledge and resources to help provide for her clients and lastly she has the passion and determination to continue working in a medical setting.
“Letto diciassette!” I froze at the sound of “bed seventeen,” and watched with horror as the Italian nurse ran into my grandmother’s hospital room. The monitors were beeping out of control, yet my heart seemed to be beating even faster and louder. I stood at the end of the dimly lit hall, shaking and unable to move. A health care provider spotted me standing there, desperate, alone, and vulnerable, and made her way over to comfort me. The feelings I experienced next were what I remember most when I look back on that dark and gloomy day in Italy. ***The feelings of hope, reassurance and genuine kindness. The feeling that a missing piece of my heart had been put back where it belonged. That is what I remember most and that is the role I want

Essay 1 I began my career in healthcare ten years ago as a medical assistant. My role as an MA, while it had its highlights, left much to be desired. I wanted to build a rapport with patients where I could educate them on their diseases and provide clarity on disease management using my warm bedside manner; most of all I wanted a career where I could use my critical thinking skills. Thus, I embarked on a journey to become an LPN and became licensed as such. I have found that, although I love my job, my license holds me back from providing the patient care I would like to.

However, I intend to use my career as either a doctor or a physician assistant to serve underdeveloped areas both nationally and internationally.
