“Our history begins before we are born. We represent the hereditary influences of our race and our ancestors virtually live in us” - James Nasmyth (Engineer, Inventor)
My vehement desire to be an engineer was obvious - I was born in a family of engineers. My great grandfather, Hazura S Birdi was the 1st Indian electrical engineer in America. Thereafter, my grandfather was a machinist and my father is a civil engineer; Perhaps, my fascination towards science and technology is hereditary. Following their footsteps, I decided to become an engineer.
Since childhood, I had a keen interest in technology. My eagerness to grasp new concepts and topics has been a noteworthy characteristic about me and it helped to broaden my horizons greatly. When I was just in 7th grade, I used AUTOCAD to make the model of a house, in

Many of them were quite interesting, but Environmental Engineering particularly captured my interest. The module was taught by the head of my department – Sandeep Singla, who himself has done Master’s in environmental engineering. He was my torch-bearer and under his tutelage, I became aware of the significance of this subject. Environmental engineering is basically the blend of engineering and science principles to refine the natural environment which is the immediate need of modern world. With the advancement of industries and technology, the pollution is on the incline. Ergo, I decided to choose environment as a major, owing to my desire to contribute something beautiful to the world. Not only this, but the enormous scope and its extensive application potential also fascinated me. The craving to learn more about the subject persuaded me to take elective course in ‘Advanced Environment engineering’. ‘A’ grade in Environmental education in both the semesters of my 12th class, demonstrate my interest for the
Honestly, for me, the course is going well this term compared to the 1st time I took it in April, 2016, and I can rightly tell you that I’m enjoying it this time around because my adequate preparation. Shamefully, regret and guilt is my companion till today because of my last action, tension and insufficient time can give birth to a regrettable action. Apology is what I rendered once again instructor. The Study materials of introduction to Environmental Science are well laid out and compendium and I believe the sky is my limit in this course, all thanks to
Because of the people I chose to surround myself around, I found myself wanting to go into the field of engineering. My friends knew I had a passion for math and they suggested engineering as an occupation I should look into. As of result of that, I found myself getting into more hands-on projects in my last two years of high school, as well as taking an engineering focused course in high school to try it out. I fell in love with the career path and since then, I aspire to become an
The career I chose to undertake as my profession is that of a mechanical engineer. Why do I want to become a mechanical engineer? Well, for starters, I would be able to design, build and possibly repair many various machines and other technologies that are complex. These technologies can range from being already in use on a global scale to new, futuristic designs that are highly technical. Also, this career includes being a sort of jack-of-all-trades, where I would possess knowledge in mathematics, physics, etc. Finally, this career offers me the chance to expand outside my immediate area since mechanical engineers are well desired around the globe as well.
Before being introduced into the medical field, I had always seen myself as an engineer. Growing up I was fascinated by how everything worked. When something would break down I would be the first with a screw driver in my hand ready to take it apart. Of course being at such a young age, I would often worsen the situation than fix it, but the thrill and excitement from fixing a broken object meant the world to me. I thought becoming an engineer was my lifelong passion.
History is a subject that can define a person’s heritage. Each one is different, but can have a few similarities. Each person’s history can explain where their family originated, the culture that they are originally from, the struggles that their family encountered, and so much more. But the most important thing that a person’s history can show, is how they ended up where they are today.
Ever since I was 2 years old, I have made blueprints for inventions ( and some crazy stuff that isn’t physically possible or necessary ). From cars that clean the house to a system of pulleys designed to keeps rats out of our attic, inventing has always been a key part of my life. Then, I had thought that my dad new how to do anything, so when I approached him with my drawings he would just laugh, we still have the pictures I made of some robots I wanted. For a 7th grade science project we had to make a Rube Goldberg machine, it was so much fun for me that in the same year I decided to program. My hobby in programming started on Khan Academy, the lessons taught you how to make basic shapes and even games or websites. Occasionally I practice
Solving problems, working with machines, and learning new things have always been my strong points, I truly enjoy my work so long as I get do something with those three. So when I was told to write a paper on a career path, I thought, “Why not an engineer?” Now of course I didn’t just want to be any engineer, I wanted to be an electrical one. Along with electrical engineering, I wanted to work with the Marine Corps, because I want to be helping people and making my home a safer place, and joining the marines is one of the best ways to do that.
I signed up to take AP Environmental Science this year because I was more interested in taking it than expanding on solely biology or chemistry. This course includes several different fields of study which is why I thought it would be very interesting and I would learn about several subjects compared to just one. Before completing any work for this course, my definition of environmental science would have been, the study of elements of the environment such as climate, soil, and water. I also would have thought that the term environmentalism meant simply protecting the environment. The difference between environmental science and environmentalism is that environmental science is the study of the environment which runs more tests and experiments
I will graduate from AHS with over one hundred hours of community service. I have gotten most of my hours by volunteering for the Anacortes Parks and Rec, as well as doing volunteer work through my high school. For the APRD, I have been a volunteer coach for volleyball and basketball for many years. I have also gotten some of my community service hours by collecting canned food for local food banks with my different sports teams. Three times a year, my teammates and I go out into the community and collect canned food to help fill the local food banks. The AP Environmental Science Class has allowed me to do volunteer work through the Green Club at AHS. I have gotten community service hours from the Green Club by helping build rain gardens in
All people are living histories. To give a few examples: All societies with complex cultures, religions and traditions that were not created on the spur of the moment. Communities speak languages that they inherited from the past. So understanding the linkages between the past and the present is necessary for us to understand being human. That said, it is essential that we respect not only those who came and died before us, but their ancestries. In our book, “Anthropology What Does It Mean To Be Human?” it talks of Native Americans, showing how the USA Government has finally begun, to make more of an effort to work with Native Americans to preserved their heritage and still allow us to learn about our own ancestries.
When we think about history, we often think of what we have come to know as history: the ancient civilization of Greece and Egypt, the wars of kings and popes, and the discoveries that changed the world. However, what about before all that? What about before the first permanent agriculture developed? What about before society? What about before anyone was there to record what was happening? Physical Anthropology answers those questions, as it relies on hard, calculable evidence in the forms of DNA, morphology, and a whole slew of other hard facts. To understand prehistory, we first must understand the ones who came before us. But who are we? Homo sapiens yes, but who are our ancestors? While we are a descendant of many, one ancestor of ours is
I would spend hours together experimenting and analyzing various mechanics around me like the ball bearings in my bicycle & roller skates and would be fascinated by my spring loaded toy cars. During my higher secondary schooling, I showed special interest in mathematics and physical sciences and in order to supplement the education that I received in school, I became a habitual reader of science magazines and books. As a direct consequence of this, I came to know about the latest developments in the field of science and engineering, especially aerospace and manufacturing engineering as it deeply interested me and I was naturally inclined to like the subject. The basics I learnt in school only whetted my appetite for more learning. It was but natural I would choose to take up manufacturing engineering as a career choice when I joined
Allowing personal interests and abilities to lead myself down the right path for choosing a sound career inspired me to find out more about Petroleum Engineering and a career as a lawyer. Because these careers have good reviews from the sources that I have been exposed to, I was interested in these topics long before researching their prerequisites. Both petroleum engineers and lawyers have well-paid jobs with flexibility in specialties and widespread availability. They are also practical careers that contribute to society in positive ways, which really drew me in. Lawyers are commonly known to work in courtrooms and meet with defendants while engineers are generally known to use math computations and science skills to solve problems, which attracted my attention since I am prepared to go into a degree concerning with math or science. Petroleum engineers are dedicated workers that must solve day to day complications in offices and oil rigs. Lawyers are depended on to work outside of the office, at home, in order to fix citizen, business, or legal problems. They must both be able to communicate effectively and work efficiently in order to get their jobs done which several surveys I took told me I would be skillfully equipped for. Both of these careers are only followed through after college because without studying the field of work, the job would be much too difficult. They are both great careers, so choosing only one to follow after college is difficult.
Environmental engineering is a broad field that is used to improve environmental conditions. It is pursued with different types of engineering and sciences. I will be talking about several things in my essay. First, I will introduce the essay by discussing the history of environmental engineering and its alternative technologies. Second, I will go deeper into the description of environmental engineering. Third, I will explain how and why it’s beneficial. Fourth, I will identify some engineers that developed environmental engineering. Fifth, I will describe how this technology impacts society. Finally, I will conclude the essay by summarizing the future of this technology and including my opinion about possible new applications.
Environmental management course is very much required in the B-school curriculum. Environmental management can be so important because our environment gives a part of what we are whether our culture are dirty people or clean, it is also nice to live in a nice, clean place which is not polluted. It is also important to get people live in that place if a certain city, country is polluted no one will think of living there and visitors will have a negative point of view on that place. Environmental management is not, as the phrase could suggest the management of the environment as such, but rather the management of
