Montclair State Essay “Education is the foundation upon which we build our future.” This quote was said by Christine Gregoire, and never were truer words ever spoken. It is my personal belief that the education I can receive at Montclair State University can be the starting point to which my career in the arts can prosper. I have heard many people, from alumni to friends of alumni, talk in high regards about the theatrical program at MSU. Some say that it was the best training they ever received, and others say that their friends who went to MSU were able to be consistent working actors due to their training. It is my ultimate goal to take advantage of the amazing resources at MSU if I’m able to make it in the Music Theatre program. I
Middlesex community college has impacted me tremendously as a scholar and as a human being. Middlesex community college provides a friendly environment which encourages me and other students to be creative. I met new friends. I had the chance to help the community by volunteering through the student and engagement office. Most important I had the chance to express myself and sharing my experience and story as a human being. The faculty, staff, and counselors are extremely helpful. They work with us to make our goals are achievable. I glad that I did the decision in attending Middlesex community college.

As soon I came across Hampton, I chose to focus on this particular University. Doubts are always in my mental, but I continue to make an effort.

Upon my retirement from the United States Navy, my family and I chose to move to Indiana. I reside in a rural community, which allows me to pursue my passions such as watching my three children blossom into adulthood, being Anne’s Grandma, spending quality time with my husband, horseback riding, raising chickens, cross-stitching and crafting. In my spare time I am mastering my new career as a federal employee filling the role of Configuration Management Officer for a Navy Project while pursuing my graduate degree in business administration at Grantham University.
When I first read about Ithaca’s Musical Theater Program, I had just watched a clip on YouTube Aaron Tveit’s performance in the 2009 Broadway cast of Wicked. Blown away by his performance, I researched his education and fell in love a program that taught artistic expression as well as solid training as an actor and not just as a musical theater performer. Having just been to London and visiting the West End I was very excited about the opportunity to study abroad and learn British drama and culture. I was also thrilled to find that this program included private voice lessons, basic piano skills, critical analysis of plays, all things I feel I have a foundation in and grown and improve in college. Finally, a Showcase in front of industry professionals
When I had the chance to visit The Art Institute, I knew right away that this school is the right place for me to attend. I have been in to video production for two years now and I have grown so much passion for the art of being a visual creator. My career goal is to eventually own an independent production company. The education I will receive at The Art Institute of Philadelphia can help me by learning to produce finishing products that live up to industry standards and meeting new people who also share the same passion and career goals will help be successful in the video production business. The Art Institute can also help me by connecting me to different internships so I can have the platform to showcase my talent and prove that I have
Four years of music administration learning and internship has taught me that in order to learn about musical art administration, I will require a professional training in the field. In the two semester pathway program, I learn the concepts of the American arts management and many case studies in the class. Therefore, I would like to study the arts management at GMU. Studying in the arts management program can lead me to understand the management of the arts. Through discussing the idea with different background classmates, I would have opportunities to approach the field in multiple disciplines, including visual art, performing art, entertainment management or fine art and cultural management. The arts management program provides many courses on fine art management, fine art and culture, social exploration and leadership, and communication. The
After graduating high school, my ambition is to attend Jackson State University to major in Physical Therapy. To major in Physical Therapy it is required to graduate with a baccalaureate degree in Biology, following that, 27 months of Physical Therapy school is required. Upon graduation, I aim to succeed in my new occupation as a Certified Physical Therapist and eventually owning
Stony Brook has a large campus that I have yet to get used to. Often times, finding a building that I have not visited or go regularly. I am here because I could not afford the tuition in California. I was not ready to pay fifty thousand per year to attend a university. Procrastination will come “easy” to me this semester. With this much freedom, I am bound to forget and do homework at three in the morning. This happened often in high school as I was unmotivated to do anything. I have to be able to keep track of time and watch myself before I mess up. None of my values will be challenged by simply attending a college. By the end of the semester, I hope that I would have a 3.5 GPA. I hope I manage to succeed.
I used to believe the only way to become a doctor was to focus only on math and science, to have no social life, and to ignore all other subjects. As I continued high school, I realized this lifestyle would never get me into medical school, but instead degrade my mental health. It was not until I decided to become more open with peers and volunteer within my community that I discovered my desire to expand my horizons. This led me to participate in my school’s mainstage production. I transitioned from thinking the arts were useless to gaining a profound appreciation for them. I had never understood the amount of energy and effort that goes into plays- I had the misconception that the only field
Maine East is the epitome the perfect Fine Arts program. I remember my first day in my Radio and TV class my teacher told me that Harrison Ford was the first ever person on the Maine East Radio and as soon as I heard that I was hooked. From that point in my favorite actor was my inspiration for participating in nearly everything that involved film. At first I thought being a radio personality was a dream I had wanted to achieve, and to this day I love being on the radio, but then I found another dream and that was film directing. Being in a school and a film class that encourages you to not only think outside the box but to also be yourself is fantastic. I love being in charge of my work and being able to showcase it makes me feel good about
Being an intense supporter of the arts has certainly piqued my interest in this program. Throughout my life, an intense passion for the performing arts has coursed through my veins. I have always had a deep desire to be on a stage ever since I had seen my first Broadway musical. I had auditioned for my first show at age seven, and by then I was positive I wanted to continue this hobby for a long while. Eventually thinking of performing as a hobby transmogrified into considering it as an occupation. Although I have done a total of twelve musicals and several performances presently, every time I perform in a show, I feel the same rush of adrenaline I have experienced since the first rehearsal. In addition, I know several students that are members
I have been in high school for three years, every year I have either joined or tried to join the theatre class my school offers. My school offers theatre classes one through three; I have taken one and two. This school year, I had to make a decision between and academic class and a class that I am intensely passionate about. I chose to take the academic class over theatre because I am focused on my studies and knew I was still able to join the club. For three years, I have been fiercely involved in every activity and school production the theatre class and club have presented. By being selected to attend AGS in this field of interest, I will be given the opportunity to improve my skills and extend my knowledge on the art of theatre. As a result
The person I dream of becoming is a hard knock financial mogul who owns a professional sports team, but spends his free time and weekends with his family. The university offers multiple clubs that I hold an interest in, such as the “Orange Value Fund” and others that will teach me real world experience and ultimately give me a competitive edge in the work force. With outstanding professors, maintaining the right attitude and hard work at Syracuse will provide me with an in depth knowledge within my intended field that will set me up for life upon graduation. Syracuse will also teach me valuable skills along the way that I can
