Storm. Typically not a word considered as a name. It’s funny how one of my favorite facts about me, is that my middle name is Storm. Just the looks of disbelief, are stories I could tell on their own. Jaeden Storm Roussey, my name in which only the last two names actually provide interest and backstory. Usually, someone’s name or middle name derives from a close person to one of their parents, but in my case, it’s quite the contrary. My first name, Jaeden, has no backstory or specific reasoning. When interviewing my mom, she told me that sheher and my dad discussed more unique names at the time of my birth. So they settled on Jaeden, even spelling it a unique way. Trust me, I’ve dealt with misspellings of my name all of the time. Even some …show more content…
Turns out my mom had no say in my middle name. My dad chose both my brother’s middle name and mine without really asking my mom. So I also interviewed my dad and asked him where he got the idea for my middle name. He told me that him and my mom watched a movie while my mom was pregnant called “Hard to Kill.” The movie stars Steven Seagal as Mason Storm, and for some reason, my dad just thought it was the coolest thing ever. So without consenting anything with my mom, my dad wrote down Jaeden Storm Roussey as my full name. Over the years though, both my mom and I have grown to love the middle name storm. My mom thinks it fits my personality extremely well as storms can either be calm and collected, or they can be fierce and powerful. To me however, I just brag about how awesome my middle name is compared to everybody else’s. I remember in 8th grade, when Mr. Longenbaugh read everybody’s last names in my class, and he reached mine. I remember him looking up at me and just asking, “Your middle name is Storm? That’s incredible!” I was like the coolest kid in the class for like three minutes and I guess I have my dad to thank for that. Names will always be different for everyone. They all come from a different backstory or a different meaning and my name is no exception. Although my first name doesn’t provide anything interesting about me, I know I have several stories discussing my middle and last name. From all the long and amazing

My name came from all around the world. My three uncles came up with my full name. Jarin coming from my uncle in America, Tasnim coming from my uncle in England, and lastly Nishat coming from my uncle in Bangladesh. My uncles weren't there with me when I was born, so when my parents described me to them, they all chose different names for me that described me the

Matthew - I remember writing my real first name for the first time, then I turned 11. Since I was born I had always been called by my middle name which is Clayton. No one in my life called me Matthew, except when my parents were mad at me, until I lived in Florida 6 years ago. I know that I had written my real first name before I had moved to Florida but for some reason I couldn’t recall this time and how to spell it. So after I had moved to Florida and I walked into my new home, the classroom, for the next year I was told to write my name on a piece of paper that was a little test about
My mother said that she give me the middle name Leigh, because there was really no other name that went well with Bradie. If my dad had had it his way, I name would be Ludmila after

About two months before my birth, my parents had it narrowed down to either Logan or Luke. At the same time, my mother’s grandfather was in the hospital close to death. Literally minutes before he actually died, as my parents were in the room with him, he casually referred to me as Luke. From that point, my parents decided that’s what they’d name me. They always knew they’d give their boy the middle name Mitchell, as my mom loved the name and it’s my dad’s name. I inherited Ison from my parents.
The hurricane began as a tropical wave—a westbound low-pressure area—first observed southeast of Cape Verde on 29 August.[1] Traversing the tropical Atlantic, the wave retained a minimum barometric pressure of about 1010 mbar (hPa; 29.83 inHg) and strengthened briefly the following day.[2][3] By 1 September, however, the wave had become rather weak and indiscernible; it would remain as such for much of its early existence till 6 September, by which time it had moved past the Windward Islands. In this region the system became sufficiently organised to be classified as a tropical depression at 18:00 UTC that same day, about north-north-west of Grenada.[4][5] Some six hours after its inception the depression strengthened to a tropical storm over the
Jackson, a derivative name from my grandpa Jacky or Jack for short. In addition to that my middle name has been inherited from my great grandpa, Willard Dale Kite passed all the way down to me. Although my first and middle name has passed down from my family, my parents chose the name for the strong quality. For example, my dad, grandpa, and great grandpa all worked on farms and spent their time lifting hay barrels. I do not lift hay barrels, but I do put in the work playing sports and mowing yards. Finally, the name had to be a two syllable word so it can fit with my middle and last name and as a result they named me
My aunt Annie provided my mom with a name book, but she would not be fond of a single name. At that time my mom was working at the Wells Fargo bank. She did have plenty of assistance from a very kind and helpful customer who gave her three names each time she visited the bank. My mom's customer service manager strongly advised the name “Garrett” which she thought went very well with the last name “Chiem.” However, my dad came up with the suggestion of “Karl” as my name. Through several tormenting
My parents spent a lot of time arguing over what to name me. Their decision time was cut short when I was born over two months early, leaving them completely unprepared. As a result, I was actually nameless for the first few days of my life. My parents finally settled on Erica because it was the only name they could agree on (even if my dad calls me my sister’s name more often than my own). Despite it seeming like a rushed, last minute decision, I feel that Erica is the perfect name for me.
A specific name is assigned to a tropical storm and/or hurricane for a multitude of reasons. The first reason a tropical storm and/or hurricane is assigned a specific name is because more than one tropical storm and/or hurricane may exist at a given time. By simply giving a tropical storm and/or hurricane a name, it becomes easier for meteorologists and the general public to effectively keep track of and talk about storms. Conversely, not every minor storm is given a name. A storm is only assigned a name if it reaches tropical storm strength; this name stays with the storm if it goes on to form into a hurricane. Moreover, each year, tropical storms are appointed in alphabetical order as they occur. It is important for the readers to recognize
